Is it just me or were the top drivers less prima-donnas here? Edwards has gotten an ego now, this was before Johnson won 5 CHASE seasons in a row and started to believe he's invincible...I dunno. Compared to how things are now, it just seems that the drivers had a less inflated view of themselves back then. And this wasn't that long ago.
Well, as much as I hate to say it, Kyle Busch has more balls ON TRACK. But Kyle is the biggest pussy off the track. I like Junior. But Edwards would kick anyones ass in Nascar. Kinda like Tony Knaan in Indy cars.

I started watching as a young girl with my dad in the 70's by the 90's I was addicted! It's 2010 now and if I try to watch a race I fall asleep about a 1/4 of the way through!!! I wake up with oooh about 20-7 laps left! What a snooze show! It has gotten close to like watching golf or paint dry! I would rather watch classics than todays races!

If Carl did this today, the majority of people would say "fine him", "put him on probation", "Sit him for a race". Nascar would probably do one of those things as well. In my opinion, it's more about the NASCAR "officials". As I said, NASCAR just doesn't let the drivers race hard enough. It's to the point where the drivers are almost afraid to race hard, due to all of the "probation" periods and fines that NASCAR imposes. I feel that it's slowly getting better, but it'll never be what it once was.

At least the roush drivers don't have to have help from nascar to be successful. If HMS drivers fail an inspection they don't get as severe as pentalties as other drivers. Such as JJ failing qualiying inspection at Daytona in 2006. He got all the pentalties except having championship points taken away. HMS always get favoritism from nascar. Why does roush racing have to give up one of their teams? If HMS had 5 or even 6 teams then nascar would allow that many teams to be own by one person.

Stillmissdavey28 all roush racing drivers are just dumb luck sacking losers and hell none of them can even compete against HMS drivers and your saying that they are better than HMS drivers get your prioties and facts straight cause i'd rather take my chances behind the wheel of a hendrick motorsports race car knowing the championships i'll win and team mate's that at least watch my back instead of crash it into the wall and every time they win don't perform some kind of dumbass flip edwards.

Jimmie Johnson and Greg Biffle mainly dominated the Golden Corral 500. Edwards made up a lot of time on Jimmie in the final laps. I couldn't believe Edwards caught Johnson and got beside him for the win. Great finish.

jimmie johnson surpasses any racer even carl edwards i mean three championships three years in a row and all the races and championships won by roush driversare sheer dumb luck over hendrick motorsports an example of this was kurt busch at homestead at the last race of the season 2002 when he was with roush fenway racing.

People are gonna get mad about my Sr comment. Sr never won 3 straight! I respected Sr but wasn't really a fan of him. He was great and shaped nascar and will go down as one of the greatest in history ever! I do believe if Johnson and Knaus stay together they can win more than 7! Even other drivers in the garage say if things have gone right and they had some luck..this would be 5 in a row. 48 has never finished worst than 5th in the points and finished 2nd twice..once by 8 points! 48!48!48

This is coming from a HUGE Johnson fan! I mean i could argue im the biggest fan ever...But whata a race! Edwards drove the wheels off the car literally! lol I always say win or loose for the 48 go down in style. Jimmie gave it all..Carl gave it all..nothing bad about this! I was upset but i was like man whata race!! Jimmie and Carl will be the best 2 drivers of our times next to Jeff Gordon and Dale Sr. That might piss people off but oh well! GO 48 FOR THE 4PEAT!!!!!!!

hahah, I won 500 bucks off that race... odds were 20 to 1 in vegas. we were freaking out. I bet on him cause of the week before in vegas he did so good till he got wiped out,he would have won...and atlanta is the same type of track

Two things
1. The old vegas and atlanta are nothing alike. Vegas used to be very flat.
2. Carl did awful that race. He ran about
15th to 20th all race long.

Johnson had to run his line. He was crap on the high line all race, that's why he was on the mid- to low-line at the end. He got in the lead that way, and stayed in the lead that way.
