Oh, what beautiful memories these songs bring to me, I who was born in 1945. My old stereo had a round post for 45s. Then there were those little plastic thingees you put in the 45 itself so you could play it on your stereo. Thanks for the memories!
I like your record player. Check the needle and make sure it's not eating the records. They had different grades of needles back then. The cheap ones were only good for 20 hours. The diamond needles, for 800 hours. just fyi.
I have the same 45, but it's the B-side to "It's All in the Game", nice record player. I have the exact same GE Wildcat, but mine is a bit later, but yours is an older model. I'll post the same song on my same record player.
Sorry Chris...No he is not 90 Years old..And I am no where near that either..."I just turned 58 on the 13th of this month to be exact...So there you are honey!!!
This song was my 40 year ago boyfriends song for us at that time. He is now again in my life after all these years and says it must have been this song that carried us on and on..After all these years we both still have deep feelings for each other..
Wow! I used to play this same record on an aqua GE Wildcat just like this one. Thanks for posting. Alot of great memories of simpler times came rushing back to me.
Yowzers! I never knew the late great Tommy Edwards had recorded this song. Until now, I had only heard Bobby Vinton's version. What a delight to listen to! How sad that we lost Tommy at such a young age. He had a marvelous voice. THANKS for sharing this "blast from the past" with us. May all your dreams & wishes come true in the New ! :)
1958 when I was 13. What a romantic song!. What a memory ! The girls of that time,. the parties.
