  • This was the traditional chanty sung at the end of a voyage. It's a windless chanty, usually sung when warping the ship to the pier. This is a generic version. A ship's crew would often spend the last week or so of the voyage making up verses for this chanty describing actual experiences on the particular voyage. Usually the captain and officers were savaged in the song but since the crew would be paid off shortly there was little chance of punishing them for being nasty.
