@Harleylyden - You are welcome. If you combine this technique with the Pretty Link Plugin, you can easily cloak, manage and track clicks for those affiliate links. There is a free and pro version. The free version should take care of all your affiliate tracking needs.

How do you get the position of the sidebar images to appear... like you selected position 2

@socalkid4 at the bottom of the text widget box there is a place to choose which sidebar and the position of the sidebar. For this example, I choose position 2 in sidebar 1. Check out tutorial starting around 2:20
