  • Cool, im a Rooky for that Sport!

  • wow I wanna be as good as you great video

  • Can you show how to practice the moves starting from a beginning level. Like when you do a crossover repeatedly.

  • What jump rope do you use? and how long does a rope last for you? I would imagine a jump rope for you only lasts about 10% of a average jumper.

  • Awesome. Inspiring. Loved it!

I liked the funny part too. It was all good.

  • look at my video of me jump roping backwards way harder then this..

  • best cardio ever with less impact

  • disciplina!

  • he looks like the drunken jump rope master,he is fast ,

  • how do you do that little side to side to side thing he's doing at 0:23? looks like maybe a warmup thing or something???

  • I can out jump any day buddy!! Your really awkward looking too!!

  • Good stuff. I need to lose a few pounds and just got myself a lonsdale weighted leather rope. I thought I was relatively fit, after a few minutes on the rope I realised I got some way to go to get my fitness back!

  • Is that a leather rope? WOW that's impressive! Whoever thinks this is easy... your sooooo wrong!

  • You're my mentor :D

  • Awesome vid. Just picked up jump roping so I suck at it right now lol Maybe I'll get this good some day.

Also, what is the name of the song? I know I've heard it in a movie before but can't remember

  • Seriously, you want to see some ripped people? Anybody jumping rope on a regular basis. Guaranteed.

  • u look like a bird trying to fly lol :p

    but ur good :)

  • Skipping with glasses-->you´re the man!

  • AMAZING!!!

  • speed wise very good, but u need a little more variety since ur only doing side swings, double unders and crosses

  • WOW... i can only jump 30 times at maximum and 15 usual...

  • That was well done!!!

  • good job-so true you can use the speed rope anywhere there's space. hooeh!

  • Dude, he looks like the WWE wrestler Edge. Edge, is that you?! haha.

  • wow a lot of time and effort for all that..i'm impressed

  • holy shit

  • AMAZING!

  • this guys is good, wheter or not people are gonna apreciate the time he spend for fitness. good work man.

  • don't be jelous... get some rope and start jumping

  • YouTube Search Buddy Lee. Buddy Lee is AMAZING and has been on the U.S. Olympic Jumproping team. There's another guy from Europe that's stunning also but I can't think of his name at the moment.

  • Nah..he doesn't suck..that's a bit harsh..He's actually quite good with the rope...just a little sloppy.

  • What kind of rope is that?

  • nice man. can u make a tutorial? i skip but not that good lol. how long u been skippin? plz reply.

  • lol im partly some what new too jumping rope and everytime i go for the high speed jumping like i smack myself with the rope and it hrts soooooooo bad so when i see this video i cant help but feel all the times i have whipped myself lol

Watch Floyd Mayweather jump rope and you will be amazed (and no gayness at all)

PS I have nothing against gay.

  • hahaha sorry but your shadow at 1:08-1:25 looks hillarious :P

  • @kaytee2505 the shadow was pretty funny, the tune in the background made it even more amusing, he did a good job with the vid!

  • yeh never skipped in my life... tried today... had the 4 yr old girl next door mocking me.... damn taht little girl lol

  • baha, he needs gloves

  • That's amazing. I teach students how to jump rope, not sure they or I are quite at your level eh! Inspirational. Skipping is an awesome cardio workout.

  • watch my video and tell me if am good in jumping or not

  • what a tool

  • what kind of jumping rope is that? i mean, where it's made from?

  • sexyyy

  • i find criss-cross easier to do backwards..is it just me or does anyone else feel that way??

  • I'm the same way!

  • Nice vid m8.

Not taking yourself too seriously. I enjoyed it.

  • Got any tips for doing doubles? My coach wants me to be able to do like 100 doubles in a row, and I can only do like 9 without messing up!

  • if you can do nine, youre on the right track, especially if you're messing up and not tiring out too much. I went from being able to do a dozen, to doing 60-100. Just keep doing it, set smaller goals. You'll find that once you can break 10-15 doubles, then you have timing down and it'll be a matter of endurance. Keep your form consistent, don't lift your arms up or alter your movement substantially...it'll be better for your knees too.

  • Thanks- I never thought about not moving my arms/hands too much! I'll give it a try. But man, when you mess up, the rope hits your forearms, and OUCH!!! Peace! ps- ur a hottie:)

  • I can do about 200

  • What's up with your feet? Sorry, but it looks a bit like Jerry Lewis doing jump rope training. You should keep your feet straight.

  • yeah i know, it's something iv'e become much more aware of lately. I started to experience some knee pain after jumping so I had to straighten it out.

  • You might also want to avoid jumping on hard surfaces like asphalt. Wood floors offer much better rebound and take the high impact stresses off the joints.

  • oh yeah, I know, 99% of the time I do it I'm on a hard rubber surface in a gym.

  • and they do less damage on your rope

  • That is really cool. Must be a great work-out. Am thinking of doing 5 minutes of rope jumping before my usual running sessions.

    This guy's brilliant.

  • you are a fantastic jump roper but I couldn't help but notice you're ankles pronating. Careful!

  • yeah watching these vids after made me realize that as well, Ive been more conscious of how my feet turn when I jump, working on keeping them straight

  • these things b killin yo shoulderz

  • yeah pussy I want to fuck you

  • You are a very good skipper so am i i mess up on the double jumps :(

  • well ur not very good are u. cant even double jump

  • I can you mother fucking nob

  • i could double jump over ur head im that good at jump rope.

PS. u sound like a little fag...

  • And you are a little fag you shit face cock asss go suck ya mommas milk hhahaha

  • wow u sound like a real cock. go hang urself you worthless peice of shit. thats my last reply.

  • OMG Your That internet murder hahahahahah you worthless peice of shit

  • THAT was really impressive but i wanna ask u a question did u get this nice body from jumprobe only ?? plz tell ,me :)

  • i could do that pile of shit with my eyes CLOSED

  • I do it with my eyes closed, you just can't tell behind my pimpin shades, idiot.

  • thats not really training it doesnt teach u anything its just watching

  • consider the context in which the word "training" is used....Im not training you, Im training myself.

  • oh i c

  • very good....i like the funny part with the jive music....nice touch!

  • Very impressive man but u gota be doing damage to yourself doing that on concrete!! (timber floor is best!)

  • yeah I know, very rarely do I do that on really hard surfaces, usually its in a gym on rubbery surface or on hardwood

  • your good dude, u rock on the jump rope

  • omg why do all rope jump vids, lag as hell

  • hi i need help luk at 1.36 1.37 he spins the rope on one side can u tell me how to do it plz in detailed steipes i wud appreciate it ty

  • Me and a few friends have jump roping to gain stamina, but what is a good rope what should I look for in a rope?!?! If you can, Please tell me the exact name if the rope. Thankx

  • Speed rope is gd

  • get a 'Buddy Lee Aero Speed Rope', they're not the cheapest but if you want quality then that's where u should be looking.

  • look for the speed-rope with ball bearings on the handle, they rotate faster. I use a 9 feet long one (i am 5'8"). You should use one twise the lenght from the armpit to your toes. You should be able to get a good one for 10 bucks or so.

  • Hello fellow Canadian, greeting from Toronto. Very good video man. I also jump rope but I think I'll need about 57.2 years to get this good lol.

  • more like 6-12 months :)

  • uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu very good brother.

    5 stars

  • Are you using one of buddy lee's ropes?

  • nope, just some cheap walmart rope, I wouldnt mind getting one of those, i probably will when I wear through this one.

  • Flipping hell! Wish I could do that.

  • you got speed and tech but only 5 varitions, come on man, and if u can do that for 30 mins i respect you, thats just what practice gets you , 2 monhts and any1 whos fit could skip better then this dude

  • Talks cheap stud.

  • love it bruv..funny aswell..

  • do weighted jump ropes improve verticle leap. if yes whats the best weight i should buy

  • wtf how!!?

  • Very good! I've just started skipping and your video was inspirational. I was down because I couldn't do it well atall but I'm pleased with my progress. I can't do successive double rotations or any triples yet though...Can you tell me where in the video you do a double crossover? It's hard to follow what you're technique is because of the speed. How do you do it exactly? Cheers

  • It takes a bit of time at first to get used to the movements and the timing. But youll notice improvement pretty quickly if you keep at it. I do a combination of a crossover and a double towards the end, its in slo mo so you can see whats going on. Its difficult to describe how to skip, easier to show. And only way to learn is to try the new things, youll mess up alot, welt yourself up, but its worth it

  • Legend!

  • yo dude if i skip everyday could i lose a lot of weight plz reply i need 2 know

  • 20-30minutes a day, then yes.

you just have to keep at it.

  • Thanks for sharing!

You should check out my jump rope video sometime.

  • the really sped up bit is hilarious if you watch just the shadow

  • lol yeah it looks like swing dancing lol

  • Good rythym

  • *off the knees.

  • thinking about it, Id say I adapted that way to keep from hitting my feet with the rope at higher speeds. I should probably try not to do that though, its probably bad for the knees, and it looks goofy

  • Is there a reason why you usually land pigeon-toed? Does it help deflect the landing impact on the knees or something?

  • its fast forwarded in some parts..

  • Aside from the dumb section I wish I hadnt included thats obviously sped up, theres nothing else fast-forwarded. SOme vids are taken with lower frame rate, so that might give the perception of being faster.

  • Dude - Why do you wish you hadn't put that "dumb section" in? That's hilarious! That shows you don't have to be stone-faced serious all the time in order to be dedicated. That's where people lose their motivation, thinking they have to be all "intense" all the time. Your "dumb part" shows you can have fun working out. Don't feel bad about putting that in there...it's THAT part that made me watch it a second time! Good job!

  • it would hurt if u whiped your self with it at fast speeds

  • floyd mayweather is way better

  • Floyd Mayweather is a professional Boxer, he gets paid millions to be in shape. I wish he'd show me some shit.

  • Thanks for the ideas. Do you ever go at it barefoot?

  • never tried barefoot, I guess itd be more of a motivation not to fuck up. lol.

  • Yeah, getting tagged in the toes kills. But it also strengthens all the tendons in your feet just a little more.

  • what kind of rope do you have?

  • well played boss- must have took a hell of a lot of training! i hope 2 b dat gd 1 day lmao!!

  • wow your real good man keep it up

  • hi, great skipping man. what is that first piece of music? thanks

  • thanks man, the music is called Mustang Nismo, its fropm the fast and the furious Tokyo Drift soundtrack

  • Wow your very good! I use a jump rope with weights in the grasps and you get better muscles then.

  • Nice video. I got a jump rope last Christmas. I appreciate the slow motion sections so I can try and figure out the technique.

  • its all pretty simple stuff, once you get the timing and coordination down its nothing to do what Im doing there

  • Good job. Is it just me, or is the timing for that extra "umph" in your double crossover a split second later than for a regular double? When I usually go in for a regular double, I begin to swing harder when the rope is right above my head. But when I go for a double crossover, I swing harder when the rope is slightly past my head. Is that same for you? I ask because when I do several double crossovers, my timing is off when I start to do several successive regular doubles. Just curious.

  • ive never really thought about it...maybe Ill break out the skipping rope today and pay attention to those things. Ill get back to you

  • I paid for it later with sore joints. If you suddenly just throw in a really intense workout when you arent used to it, your body doesnt appreciate it very much.

  • ok. your videos are great. I´m starting now to rope jumping. now I can do it ...2 Min!!!! I know it´s nothing but I feel it´s getting better.

  • WOW

  • iv got the weighted ones..lol..ma arms start killin after a few mins..especially if i done weights b4 it.i been doin boxing for bout 10 yrs now, but i jus wanted to ask u..how long can u skip for without stoppin??.jus want to compare stamina.neway take it easy man n keep it up..cya

  • i havent been doing any skipping lately so atm, my stamina is garbage. I was skipping for about two hours straight once, only topping long enough to tie up my shoes or get a quick drink of water..but that was stupid and I paid for it later. I can do about 150 doubles before my arms basically wont let me do any more. Thats probably my best benchmark because normal skipping can go on too long without tiring.

  • hi. what do you mean with "that was stupid and I paid for it later"?

  • very good, im sorta outta pratice on my rope but im getting back into it, i can do a pretty nice consistant pase of doubles but i still can't get them triples. any ways nice video

  • thanks, yeah I can do a tripple when I want to now, but it takes me alot of prep, like getting ready to time it/big jump. Most ive gotten consecutively is 3.

  • how long dod it take you to learn how to skip ive recently took up boxing and im just wondering

  • it didnt take very long actually. After a couple of 15-20 min sessions I had the timing down just fine. WHat I was doing in the video, I was doing that stuff after a couple of months of skipping 2-3 times a week. Now, once you get the timing down solid you can learn anything like a crossover or a double crossover after only a few minutes, and with a bit of practice you can make them fluid as well.

  • i have three kinds of ropes: one like yours, a thin speed rope, and one with five pound handles... try and find the last type of rope, you will be kickin ass after using that puppy... btw nice video

  • Dude...You are pretty good. Way better than I originally thought. Keep it up man.

  • i need to try this rope out... i skip all the time

i know i could go as fast if not faster... i go fast with a getto plastic rope.

have you ever tried using the rope with those big beeds? DAMN

  • The rope Im using there is cheap, you cant adjust it, and it isnt very good until its broken in a bit. Little thin rubber ropes, you can really get alot of speed with, but I prefer the heavier ropes for cardio

  • Very inspiring.

  • this is dope...I fight so I know plain rope workouts can kick anyone's ass...here you are just bustin' it. These haters need to sit down.

  • exactly

  • This video rocks! Too many haters out there act like one man's talent invalidates another dude's. That's just plain ridiculous. The fact is, Huxternator has no pretense of being the best. It's just him rockin' out with some basic moves elevated to a high level. Keep up the good work!

  • damn!

  • good technique

  • yes part of my head is made from meat.

  • why do your feet point inwards like a nerd's?

  • because it minimizes the chance of the rope hitting my feet at the apex of the rotation....i dont know, maybe im bow legged, good call though....meathead

  • Man I cant do anything special with a rope, thats all really really standard stuff. I just put this video together for a laugh, trying to learn how to use windows video maker

  • yo man dis wuz aight but u should see floyd mayweather jr jump rope he way better

  • maybe, but the music isnt

  • crap

  • put some clothes on you goon

  • your jump rope vids are awe inspiring!!!!!!!!

  • Wow, that's pretty impressive.
