I can't believe how open these CFR guys are now. Instead of it being a secret, it is in their introduction to these news shows.

What is important is to bring them home in time for the next war. Here is my suggestions:

Ground war: US/Mexico border, kill the drug cartels threatening the southern states and round up and deport the illegals.

Air war: Destroy the Iranian Nuclear and missile capacity via heavy bombing.

Sea war: Kill the pirates threatening US shipping on the Somali coast.

Their is lots of places where fighting makes more sense than Afghanistan.
