I think the only ones that survived in the movie were Barricade, Starscream (I know for a fact you see him fly into space at the end of the movie), and all the autobots exept Jazz (which is sad). I really wish they didn't kill Blackout. HE WAS MY FAV! Evil U.S Military... I will get revenge for Blackout... BLACKOUT SHALL LIVE FOREVER!!! (lol am I a little too dramatic on that one?) Besides, he couldn't die. he was the FIRST one to appear in the movie!!! (Please don't leave me Blackout! lol)

Here is the story of Barricade in the final battle.Before Optimus killed Bonecrusher, Barricade crashed in the highway ,then Starscream found Barricade woundd and slowly regenerating.He is returning to TF 2.(From the Official Sequel Book)

Scorpy is pretty cool, as long as you leave him in Scorpion mode. PLUS he can plug into Blackout and his pincers will spin as you operate the rotor on Blackout.

Yeah the "Robot" mode isnt particularly good. But they just added that for play value. But if you want a nice replica of how he appears in the movie I think he's worth it.

Get the set with the little soldier figures. Scorponok has sand painted on him like he's been out in the desert.

Simple. He scanned a regular scorpion the same way the others got their vehicle modes.

He might be a drone so Blackout could have picked the mode for him. We know the TFs learned English perusing the World Wide Web. Maybe Blackout was impressed with the deadliness of the scorpion and configured his attack drone to mimic it while beong able to be transported within him.

Or what if they arrived TODAY and found some junkyard where an artist was making Dinosaur sculptures out of junk? Really jagged badass looking sculptrues that The Dinobots decide to use.

They could also scan the World Wide Web looking to learn the language and find some pretty kickass images online (Maybe some mecha dino images)and go with that.

Still, with the junkyard thing The Dinobots could have a place to hang out after befreinding the artist. Be an outpost for Sector 7

I dont think the Dinobots seeing REAL Dinosaurs in the distant past is viable. If they were brought in it would be responding to Prime's invite. But I do see Sector Seven working WITH the Autobots to defend Earth, and the Dinobots being used as the RIOT squad.

But there are a number of ways they could give them the dino modes.

But I think they said the Dinobots will not be in the sequel. Rumor has it that the claw marks in the room where they animated the phone were caused by Grimlock.

Bay said he'll release false rumors, and i think if they will have the dinobots in the movie it doenst nescessarily mean they have to be dinosaurs,, they can b futuristic weapons that "resemble" dinosaurs.

btw, that cellphone robot in the movie has the head of unicron..

Scorponok(copyright) cannot transformer into anything. He relies on Blackout(copyright) for transport.

its gotta be either MAYA or XSI. Thats my guess anyways. If not then its probably 3D Studio Max. But 3DS is more for games than movies.

I think it's probably Maya - that's about the most used program for vfx in movies... or so I read.

Haven't used it myself though (I only got Max and Blender) but I heard it's great for animating.

I'm about to start an education where they use maya, so in a month or so I can tell you how it is :)

yeah, I use XSI and Blender LOL. Blender isnt much for rendering compared to mental ray, but its the easiest thing to model with in my opinion.
