  • You can't Compare a Nexus One with a HD2 in Size..

  • htc hd2 is the best

  • @killabone3456 So, how about HTC EVO 4G?

  • HD2 with Froyo installed wins because its half the price of the nexus one used.

  • Window mobile has nothing on the android and iphone. It won't have creative apps made by normal but creative people. Nor will Windows mobile have NOTHING on google navigation system. I see nothing good about the Windows phone. Sure it has a bigger screen, but for what? watching movies or videos? I could just watch movies on my computer. It looks more "beautiful"? What, so I can stare it at it like a dumb idiot? It has more ram because of how much resources it takes. I am not impressed.

  • there is new markets for windows mobile where you can get much more apps maybe even more than androids.

you can get omarket which you can download to your phone (hd2)

some websites on the internet xdadevelopers

    hd2apps. blogspot

  • Good review! I`m in Tokyo so got no physical access to phones outside of Japan, I was worried about the ergonomics of the HD2 but this review really helped me to make a decision.keep it up!

  • DO NOT BUY T-MOBILE PHONES ! >:(((( I have an HTC HD2 and it works like poopy !!!

  • Loonyeye20 hey just so u know tmobile has the biggest selection of android phones and verizon has like wat 3 android phones and they all suck balls and if u wait a little the samsung galaxy s is coming to tmobile my cuz went to Europe and he bought that phone over ther and said it's the best android phone so far so u should stay with tmobile

  • @pejon24 The Galaxy S brand by Samsung will be on all carriers, T-Mobile's version is the Vibrant, AT&T has the Captivate, Sprint recently launched the Epic 4G on August 31st and Verizon will be getting the Facinate. The Epic 4G has a physical keyboard unlike the other models but it's also has a huge GPS issue, not sure if the other models share that or not...so be sure to do a lot of research if you're planning on dropping money on a new phone, especially if going with a contract :-)

  • honestly im sick of t-mobile they dont have a huge selection of android phones and im a die hard android fan, I still have my rooted g1 currently running froyo.. thinking about going to Verizon next year.

  • its only 50$ get it at walmart :)

  • Windows mobile sucks i tried to work wit it ..thought it was the shyt but once i got andriod it kicked windows mobile's ass idc how big the screen is or how pretty it is at the end of the day the android platform is much more sturdy and can withstand this ugly smartphone.... windows mobile really cant stand a chance against the iphone and the nexus one or the the droid or whatever its just plain slow and un custimizable ...wit an android phone u can make it yours

  • how much currently is the HTC HD2 tmobile if i do currently have a family plan contract?

  • how much currently it the HTC HD2 with tmobile?

  • @itskathleenmae

    i just bought this phone.

i have to say its pretty awesome! htc hd2

total cost of 487.11 $ on tmobile without contract

  • Can the HD2 use live backgrounds minus the weather animations?

  • Do you know whether the HD2 is available in the UK yet and if/when it will be?

I'm unsure as to which I should get - Price isn't an issue for me...

    What would you suggest?

  • LOL! It really says schmackdown! I thought that was just a failed attempt to sound funny!

  • good review but you should be able to pronounce Smack down, not Shmack down....

  • need help dont know which one to get send me a mes why u think it better then the other

  • @015bayarea just wait for the iphone. It might be available for T-mobile but it is still just a rumor, but the At&t and t-mobile run of the the same network and frequency so it is not a stretch.

  • On my HTC HD2... the notification bar also slides down like my android Cliq.

  • HD2 6.5 is going to be outdated in about 6 months with windows 7.0 which wont be upgradeable. Have fun with a outdated phone in 6 months.

  • @Adhesiveputty HTC said when windows mobile 7 is available sometime in November, as a free download, thank you very much.

  • @sickdunka09 ah no its not, the two operating systems are totally different. And I quote “The 1GHz HTC HD2 doesn’t qualify because it doesn’t have the three buttons required by Windows Phone 7 Series operating system.” General Manager of Mircosoft Natasha Kwan

And currently there are no new phones able to run 7.0 properly at this point. HTC HD2 is a nice phone but the OS will be out dated by the end of the year.

  • @Adhesiveputty guys at XDA dev are working on making the hd2 dual boot, winmo + android ;)

  • @thejeffgarcia if that is the case the phone would be much better. Why they used windows IDK, if it has Android it would be much more appealing since I like their operating system and app market compared to WM.

  • Just bought a HTC HD2 ....chalk one up for them.

  • you cant make them EXACTLY the same position one is bigger then another

  • man im still stuck i dont know which one to get

  • @mrruiz562 nexus one. hands down!

  • htc hd2 absolutely kills the nexus with hardware, and the nexus absolutely kills the hd2 with software. if only these phones had a baby (evo 4g perhaps :D)

  • So does the nexus have multitouch capability now ?? when it first came out...it did not have that

  • @lahoku yah they came out with an upgrade so it has multitouch in browser, google maps, and photos

  • are they smokin fucking crack!?! who the fuck is gonna shell out $500 for a damn phone..

  • u still didnt help..tell me/ all of us which 1 thing is the best

  • somebody help, which phone is the better phone!?!?!

  • both phones ae very nice! i like the nexus one because its an android phone, but i like the hd2 to because of its 4.3 inch screen! i really like phones! im a phone guy lol i have over 600 pictures of cell phones on my itouch! lol i can name any phone! lol but the hd2 is pretty pricey at tmobile, but at wirefly its pretty cheap! not sure about the nexus one, but those are both awesome phones, id say the nexus one though.

  • @zonk2015 faggot

  • why do people put it in the pocket? i cant understand why its stupid you cant hear the phone ringing and if your want too listen too your music like i do all the time the cord isnt long enough too be in your pocket what happened too the side cases so you can hear it and be able too play your music

  • @christ apparently your an old timer and haven't seen a real phone, you CAN hear a phone in your pocket (even in a suitcase) and they have proximity sensors so they automatically turn up the volume when you put it in your pocket and the cords are always long enough and the side pockets are just gay looking

  • @bobfreeman814 im 27 and that works some times in your pocket some times i live in the noisiest city nyc and on a train or bus here you may be lucky to hear your own mind i know phones and this is no good when it comes too a big city like this do you know how many people miss calls and the phone is on the side of there hips lol

  • didnt go over battery life or flash player, i would like that addressed

  • It sounded like you were just reviewing the HD2 the whole time. The HD2 is a brick and a 1/2 and Windows Mobile sucks. The nexus one has more to offer in a smaller device.

  • but what about battery life??

  • do either phones have flash player?

  • This dude sounds like a htc hd2 fanboy android beats windows mobile any day that made my choice alot easier nexus one all the way!!!

  • HTC makes the best phones

  • These phones dont matter since the HTC EVO was announced

  • @Joer22784 the evo jus hav a 8 mp camera tho dats all

  • @madman9515 2 Cameras, hd video recording, hdmi out, mobile hotspot, android 2.1, newest version of sense UI, etc... etc... So it has alot more than just a better camera dude. Oh yeah, and its 4G

  • @Joer22784 okay u made your point. good stuff but it isnt capable of global roaming. other then that, i will consider buyin it. thanx

  • Great side-by-side comparison.

  • tuff desicion fuck that htc all the way...who wouldnt want to watch movies, use it as a router, very little app....please it just got release stupid bitch...cant wait to get mine

  • nice mole

  • id rather have nexus one.... i prefer android absolutely hate wm and sense isnt high on my list either lol... im currently running the moto droid and absolutly love it!

  • I own both phones, and while I enjoyed my time with the HD2 and it's massive screen, the general Windows Mobile experience is truly last-gen. I've been a user of winmo for a very long time, and am now no longer using the HD2 at all. The Nexus One manages to complete all of the same functions for me as the HD2.

For those out there considering buying the HD2 because they heard of an Android port, know that while it is possible, it will be at least 1 more year until it's released and stable.

  • going with the nexus one..

  • @TrippyhiPpychick728 come over here and sleep with me! =)

  • You Talk To Much Just Show Us What The Phones Can Do!

  • i personallllly like the nexus one better but thats just me

  • No need to tethers, it a mobile WiFi router in its self. Im using my HTC Hd2 to post this as we speak lol....

  • thats not sense, its touchflow 3d

  • its a good phone but it will be outdated soon with windows mobile

  • HD2!!!!

  • Oh and, can the HTC HD2 be tethered to a laptop?

  • yes

  • @MsMorena29

    $450 from t-mobile

  • Definitely getting the phone for $100 with Wirefly

  • I think you overlooked a huge feature of the Nexus One: Voice Input. You also didn't cover some of the major OS stuff: WM6.5 is the end of the road. Flash support is questionable, and Mozilla announced today they won't be developing on it anymore - meaning no Fennec (Mobile Firefox) on the HD2. That kind of stuff is at least as important as fancy weather animations.

  • Less hardware comments - more commentary on software differences.

  • To get the 100 dollar discount buy through WireFly.

  • HD2 2morrow baby!

  • which one nexus one or HTC hd2?

  • which one should i get hd2 or nexus one? im nervous about a WM phone...

  • HD2 tomorrow!

  • come on man... shmackdown? that's retarded

  • @Dmac2021 Trademarks my friend.....

  • I have to agree the HD2 Sense UI is nice & has nice graphics in terms of eye candy, however the Nexus one still wins for me for the fact that it's android (Widgets, Market, Open source). If HD2 had android I would get it in a heartbeat. I'm sure android hacks would bring android to HD2... Also I'm not a windows mobile fan.

  • This is what I wanted to see!! Thanks for the Video!!!

  • I'd go for the nexus one only cause I haven't tried out android before and I've had some issues with windows mobile devices T_T the HD2 IS good, windows mobile just isn't for me ^^;

  • Shmackdown

  • Basically a video promoting hd2 so u can buy it through wirefly! Since nexus one can only be bought through goggle!

  • 2 things, would the hd2 work with an att sim card? 3g and everything?

and is the hd2 on full brightness? it looks dim

  • i dont think the hd2 is 100 bucks i talked to a tmobile sales rep and it is 199.99 on contract who knows i guess we will see when the phone drops on the 24th

  • it is 199.99, dont worry

  • @Touchme1G i knew it was lol i was about to say a 100 bucks for a phone like that yeah right

  • @Touchme1G The $100 figure is around what were anticipating pricing the device here at Wirefly, it will be different (and less) than the T-Mobile store price.

  • What about if you're buying the phone for full price? =D

  • @wirefly Last time i checked (which was about 1 min. ago) The HD2 was just $70.

That's a pretty good deal for a fantastic cell phone like that! Ima Buy it.

  • @hamiltonboy08 its 100 dollars only from wirefly not t-mobile

  • 100 on wirefly 200 with t-mobile

  • I've wanted the hd2 since i saw it in store last week

  • I wanted it last centry!

  • bought the Nexus one with my income tax and I'm getting the HD2 with my even more plus plan trough T-mobile for $22 a month for 20 months, YAY!!! In my opinion when it come to hardware its HD2>Nexus One and as far as software Android>WM6.5, this might be different if the HD2 was getting windows 7 but unfortunately from what i understand Windows 7 will not be coming to the HD2 but i know when the Android hack comes I will have a reason to get rid of my Nexus but until then ANDROID FTMFW!!

  • $100 with contract! Nice!!!

Even if you are with T Mobile already???

  • thats wrong!!!, he said it wrong!

  • @Touchme1G No Wal mart is doing the same thing.

  • @djmixmind which planet do u live on????? 100 dollars with contract YEAH RIGHT!!!!

  • @MajorrBison No there not, Wal Mart and

some Tmo stores are having like that.

  • Shmackdown???

    LOL WTF

  • well im still getting the nexus one im not a windows fan even though it has sense its still nexus one

  • wait the nexus one isnt for t-mobile????

  • @chongolicous the nexus one is for sprint, AT&T, Verizon, and T-mobile

  • second!

  • The Nexus One is made by HTC, too. It's just branded by Google.

  • first!
