I now get why the seat details are red, a BAF C130 I presume flying out of Beauvecheain Airbase. Great videos. Some interesting details of the NATO revetments. I presume there are fighters there as it has twin runways?
Wow, I remember some good old times as a kid in that plane. My dad was in the Belgian Air Force and we lived in Washington DC for 13 years. So I used to fly back and forth from Andrews to Brussels on the C-130. Was awesome. And get to stop over in Goosebay too. Miss all that.
Long live the mighty Hercules. ..they don't call it "Hercules" for nothing yanno. Gunship, firefighter, hurricaine hunter, ABCCC, you name it...even landed it on a carrier! Let's see the A400 top that..and you can't use "mighty" in the same sentence as "Airbus". See Airbus A380 for details...
Hi, your grandpa was flying a great airplane. In 1978 I spend 3 months at Langley AFB for training on the F-100 engine, they had F-15's but the engine was the same as on the F-16, then I moved to Edwards AFB for the rest of the training on F-16 for about two months. On 08-11-78 we flew back to Belgium on a Belgian C-130 from Andrews AFB to Brussels, 11:05 hrs flying in that work horse of the Air Force.
Its bad that you`ll soon have to say good bye, and watch the gradual replacement of them, with the A400M. The A400M cockpit is way more Pilot friendly.
You can say good bye to that plane. And welcome with open arms the A400M. Its way better. Who needs the american crap, when we can make our own in europe. Out with the old and in with the new.
American crap? The C-130 is the best transport plane of its time like the Dakota C-47 before it... a real workhorse and a safe airplane and it probably will still be flying in the Belgian Air Force till 2018.

I have couple of question I want to ask you:
a- Does the C-130 has an Autopilot?
b- Are you a pilot (of this plane)?
xUAE5x 2 years ago
a-Yes, they sure have
b-No, I was having a ride in the cockpit, the hard working guy, the flight engineer is my buddy, years before we worked together on the F-16.

this video was quite a while ago.

Wow...there's even an apn-56F radar scope on their plane. And they even follow some of the same guidelines for range marking indicators one there.

Wow, I think the guy sitting in the middle was working harder than the pilot and co-pilot....LOL

@BBFjetboat u dont mean all europeans is fags or do u :D

@comprellion why are almost all of europe using C130 and not A400M
HksTopAndRock 1 year ago
@comprellion
You're right. The Europeans are really making crap. The first one has still to be delivered to the customers.
We are happy to still have this American workhorse. C-130's are great planes, and i don't think an A-400 can ever achieve the same goals.
