I never knew it was a trademark for him to have his voice to appear in every movie...I heard about him as the voice of T-1000 dying, but not about the other films. I always say that even after you watch a movie 1000 times, you still miss little things like this
@filmdetail I was joking, but I did read The Futurist. He was fired, but Cameron snuck back in to reedit the film. He said the movie was trash, but at least it was his trash.
@orderchaos Yes, I'm not sure how I feel about crediting films to directors who get fired during a production. Although, his persistence to finish editing the film in Rome on a diet of bread rolls did end giving him the 'fever dream' which led to the idea for The Terminator, so I guess it all worked out in the end.
Cool vid. If I'm not mistaken, Cameron does another voice cameo in The Terminator. I heard he's the voice on the answering machine when Sarah checks her messages early on in the film. Sounds like him.
@codebreaker2001 I know IMDb Trivia says this but do you have a link where Cameron admits this? I've listened to it and although it could be him putting on an accent my gut feeling is that it isn't. I could be wrong though :-)
@filmdetail I said I think Cameron himself confirmed the answering machine one. I can't be sure if he did or not, and I can't say it was on an audio commentary for "The Terminator" (as there is no audio commentary track for "The Terminator" DVD I have), but I swear I think he did confirm it somewhere.
In Titanic he is also the voice of the guy in the boiler room who yells "All ahead full!" in the background.
30:01 into the movie.

James Cameron also appears on screen in the bar scene in Terminator 2. He is the guy holding the pool stick.
