Segways are so much fun! It's great transporation in nice cities where you can just walk everywhere! The first time I rode one, I fell 3 times! Haha it was fun though!

if you really consider your lifestyle, it's worth the 5k plunge, and winds up being cheaper then anything else you'll ever buy for serious transportation. I owned one for 5 years until it came time I had to sell it for $500 due to damage, lost keys, worn out tires, etc... in that time I saved so much money. As soon as it makes sense for me again, I'm buying another one.

Depending on the weather, I may want to go to work without taking a taxi. I can walk, bike or rollerblade but I'll arrive very sweaty in my nice work clothes. With the Segway, I can glide to work, arriving as someone riding a scooter or motorcycle would, fast without the exercise element (I exercise in the GYM). So please with the "just walk" comments.

If it makes you feel smarter to say just walk, to each his own. But the Segway blows away walking, driving, riding a bike, skateboarding, and rollerskating. It's more convenient then a car, and when it comes to cost of transportation...if you live somewhere nice, and with in 5 miles of everything you need, the Segway is the greatest thing ever invented

Moved to California continued body building when I returned home to visit my mother she did not recognize I had so much mass people thought I was a running back. I was a trucker we put in over 70 hours a week every week. 9/10/99 a tornado flipped my truck my back was broken ever since weight is a problem so is pain. I wish I could return to it. AHJerk

I have walked the streets of South Central Lower east side of Detroit Chicago New Orleans never armed. Trucking the only profession that has LAWS to restrict your working hours cause they would work 24/7 if you let them. Let me see you try to work as a trucker?
