@Guttaboyslimm yea but i like the fat ones better i wish they still made them but just improved upon them. i liked the backwards compatability i liked being able to use SD cards directly instead of having to use a USB and unplugging my mic or controller. i liked being able to have 4 usb ports instead of 2 most of all.

@damerkagee ya the ps3 slim has a heating problem wenever it gets 2 hot the game will freeze every once in awhile..but thats after it has been on for like 10 hours..but if it happens just let it cool for bout a hour and it'll be all good...it don't seem 2 happen while ur online tho

The hardware is almost the same. Things that are different are the power usage and the size and weight. Performance is the same. Also you can't play ps2 games on the slim. Those are the only big differences. Slim is just a newer version. I got mine 2 days ago and It's worth every penny.

well ps3 slim isnt bad either still better and sexier than 360. but if i was u id get a fat only if i find one brand new. I like fat better bcuz it has the touch senitive buttons and looks awesome but they are the same thing they run the same and everything except the slim uses less like 34% power not sure thou but congrats on ur ps3 slim its not bad at all! :)

umm I seen side by side compare and yes it runs slower just a tad on boot up and dvd movies BUT it loads faster during game play

the 80gb is not for sale at like walmart or gamestop I think you have to order it from play station direct, they stop selling that one a while back it was the more expensive one. it was 499 when i bought it or 399.

this ps3 slim, and all ps3 play ps1 games, and only the old ps3 can play ps2 games, aka 60gb, so why did u say the ps3 slim cant play ps1 games? before putting up a video do some research or test ur console out

the older 80gb can play ps2 games too, i have mine from the Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle back in june 2008 and its got all the usb, all the card readers, and backwards compadibility.

Guys the only reason I got this one is because the fatty broke. it wont play blue rays or games just music and DVD's. we got a slim because we take it of town alot. and we needed to get a service plane. so this wont happen again.

we there is no difference in the game part, but when it comes to watching blue rays there is some differences my huby says, do you bit stream? the ps3 fatty can't bit stream, ps3 slim loads slower and it is quite.
