I originally brought the xbox360 version because all the experts were saying it looks and runs better only to be completely dis-illusioned with the frame rate issues,button lag and unresponsiveness of the controls as well as the horrible audio glitches.
Hired the ps3 to compare and its a different world,feels like a much better fit for the ps3s hardware and it deosnt have the technical problems or as many dips in the framrate,especialy,when the actions chaotic.It literally halfs on the 360.
It actually runs alot better on the ps3 with the frame rate being more stable in the games more chaotic and graphically intense moments.For example sudden impact on the xbox is pretty unplayable with the frame rate dropping to a crawl.
Theres also problems with the audio and buttons not responding to prompts and commands on the xbox360 as well as general input lag.
Despite what the experts say this is a much better fit on the ps3 and actually feels like your running it on pc.

What about the quality itself? I mean I heard of that "PS3 is Sub-HD"-Bullshit. Does it look as sharp as other games? And just one more question - how's the Anti Alasing? Can you see alot of pixels? Thanks for reply
I think it looks really good. Not as good as eg. Killzone 3, it's hard for a multiplatform title to get that good, but it's damn close. It runs in 1080p, but if the actual resolution is sub-HD i can't tell, it sure doesn't look like it.
There is a bit of aliasing, but nothing which ruins the game and the game it self looks really sharp.
@Erroneuz finally someone that understands the unique quality you get with an exclusive blu-ray title, no-one believes that the 360 just isnt capable of doing what the ps3 is capable of. And thats just talking about blu ray. Glad the hoo hah around the demo is proven wrong though. Of course its gna be different on a game disc.

Agreed,its a real showpiece on the ps3 and very like the pc version albeit with lower texture resolution.Everyones a winner with this game though,be it on the xbox,ps3 or pc as its a masterstroke in sandbox game design with stunning visual and audio quality to boot.
Certainly up there with the bioshocks and halflifes2s of this world.The cinematics alone raise the quality bar and i love the way the gameplay tells the story much like halflife2,taking the less is more approach.

@ProgramXable If you take a look at the comparison from lensoftruth, there pretty much isn't any difference. It depends on the setup. The 360 version runs with a few frames higher, but has a bit screen tearing.
Both versions are brilliant, so it doesn't matter what console you buy it for. Off course the Crysis 2 will sell better on the 360, because it's properly the best looking 360 game, while PS3 has even better looking games, like Killzone 3 & this will steal some sales from Cr2 on the PS3.
@ProgramXable I've played both verisons. If there is any truth to the 360 version having better graphics I can't tell. I agree with Erroneuz that KZ3 looks better than this game, but that comes with the fact that KZ3 was made for PS3 whereas Crysis 2 is a multi-platform title. When it comes to Crysis 2, I think that PS3 users are not missing anything that the xbox users have. It's a great game no matter how you slice it!
@ProgramXable haha I didn't think that you're a fanboy. I did get another opportunity to play it on 360 last night. Now I think that the frame rate on 360 makes it look slightly better than PS3, but I still don't think it's a huge difference. Either way, I'm lovin the game.
@KK44444444 I played into the fourth chapter of the game, with lots of action and didn't notice any slowdowns at all or tearing. So far, it looks promising.

The PS3 is a beast, when games are written for it and properly optimized. Can't wait for Uncharted 3 :)
