I have this phone, I love it. As for it being "cheap" trust me it's not, I can remember the days when there was nothing but pagers & then when cellphones only made phone calls & did nothing else, let's not get too spoiled here. This phone is reliable, no dropped calls, responds quickly, quick startup when turned on, vibrant display, easy to access Twitter & Facebook (the real facebook not a proxy FB), easy & quick e-mail access, apps galore & fast internet. I'm on $50/mo unlimited by Boost.

@strawberriesncndii The roaming charges depends on the carrier. Cellular South is great because roaming doesn't show up very much in the South, where I live. I like the phone, but I would prefer the Bold over this phone because the Curve has a cheap camera that takes ok pics in decent lighting, but pics are impossible in dark settings. The Bold is better than the Curve, but I like the Curve.

@strawberriesncandii The battery does ok. It's a mandatory activity to charge the BB Curve daily. If you don't use it heavily (like using it hours at a time) the battery will last all day. I've read online that the battery lasts 48 hours, but my BB Curve 8530 requires daily charging. I've been pleased with the phone and have not experienced any roaming charges on Cellular South. I've taken the phone to Atlanta, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Orlando, San Antonio, and Houston.

I had this phone for eight months and didn't have any problems with it untill today. I pulled the battery out for a reboot and the thing died. It was getting slow, so I'm glad to have gotten a new one.

problem with trackballs in general? i've had a blackberry for 2 years now and i haven't had any issues with my trackball, just trim the sensitivity so it's not super touchy and you're best kind, can wait for my 8530 to arrive though, gotta love warranty's

You complained about the sensitivity of the trackpad, but you failed to mention that it can be adjusted. Also, the phone takes 10 minutes to boot up. The processor upgrade makes for faster clicking, and the wifi is great, BUT, it DOES feel cheap. I loaded mine up with the Invisible Shield. That brought some weight, and size back to the phone, which made it a lot better.

This guy is cheap, I love my Curve 2, had the 8330 for less than a month and the tracking ball went out. I could have got it replaced the tech people said since I stick the phone in my pocket alot to stay away from the trackin ball. But I love the Curve 2 and recommend it to anyone...its a very sturdy easy to use phone and it has WI FI. So dont listen to this moran and get the Curve 2 its a great phone.
