Rap music is great, and one of the reasons is its diversity. Rap can be used for making club songs, educational songs, narrative songs, abstract etc. Also great rappers use different techniques in their lyrics e.g. metaphors, word play (ambiguity), punch lines, multiple rhyme schemes, diverse vocabulary etc. Finally , rap is universal, their is no "one sound". I've heard rap songs that have sampled genres from Heavy Metal to Classical to The Jokers laugh even.
