It was actually bad of the camera guy to fire above his friends heads like that in the beginning, but of course I can't criticize that since I've never been in combat, just military training.

When you fire you get tunnel vision and he would probably not notice one of those guys in front of him standing up.

how would u know if uve never been in combat? idk my my training in a joke and isnt what we do down range

Our platoon commander told us about the incident 3 years before we were called into the Swedish Army about one of his guys getting half his brain shot off when practicing advancing in forest terrain. One group is divided into two sub groups - you take it in turns to advance and cover the other sub group. In that particular case the tho sub groups didn't have a wide enough gap between them, so the guy furthest to the left in the line shot the one advancing furthest to the right - tunnel vision.

First off, you stop firing to avoid fratricide with your squad mate who ran back to get into cover, secondly you conduct a stoppage drill perfectly and lay down some good covering fire, and then continue to direct your squad every time there's a lull in fire. Awesome job, especially on that second stoppage with an obstruction in the chamber. Good job, props to you and your boys.
