  • WOW THIS IS AN OLD VIDEO!!! :O

  • "Hey Ukulele Kris, your ukulele is broken, lets use it as a drum"

LET'S NOT USE IT AS A DRUM. LETS GET A LUTHIER TO FIX IT.

SCREW YOU, ERNIE. I USED TO LIKE YOU. YOU USED TO BE COOL UNTIL YOU STARTED HITTING MY UKULELE :(

  • I hate it when ernie tries to make my ukulele into a drum...

  • @Cookiefan1876

    Hard to say.

Not crazy about the new one, but find i can live with this more than i should.

  • Does anyone have the sketch where Ernie demonstrates a ukelele, and then Cookie Monster plays "Tiptoe Through the Tulips" and then eats the ukelele?

  • Comment removed

  • Turn on captions and enjoy :D

  • I love the way Ernie is actually being deliberately and unnecessary cruel.

  • From which episode is this?

  • @13eds Episode 80 (1969)

  • I would cry if my ukulele was broken):

  • he sounds like cookie monster

  • okay it seems like jim is always paired with frank

    kermit and fozzie

    kermit and grover

    kermit and cookie monster sometimes

    kermit and miss piggy

    bert and ernie

    and this one.

im not saying its a bad thing lol

  • @cheeto37 Jim and Frank Made an Awesome Team!

  • @cheeto37 I Totally Agree! Jim and Frank Made an Awesome Team!

  • for all you people asking this was cookie monster before he was called "cookie" monster lol

  • @GibsonLesJosh

Wrong church, right pew. The Sesame Street monsters were all omnivorous at first, before settling down into their individual behaviors. Cookie Monster had rather googly eyes; this ukulele-eating fellow is best known as Beautiful Day Monster, not that he'd turn down a cookie, mind you, he just likes musical instruments better :-)

  • @MsPandaRosa nope its Chuck Testa

  • hahahahaha

  • Hey fella you know what, your ukulele's broken.

  • do you think ernie could be from canada?

  • @ukeuku Well this was on the CBC, as "Sesame Park" so I suppose he could, hey and if they did this actual canadian puppeteers, Gord Robertson would be Ernie, and Bob Stutt, Rob Mills, or Frank Meschkuleit would be Beautiful Day Monster

  • @ukeuku I meant "with" soorry for the typo

  • the cookie monster looks different. what happened????

  • Comment removed

  • @Acecombatgamer

This one's Beautiful Day Monster, he's more omnivorous.

  • And Ernie learns that a good deed never goes unpunished.

  • That monster sounds like someone we all know and love from Sesame Street. He's blue, furry, he loves cookies, and he says "COWABUNGA!!!!!!" Can you guess who that monster is?

  • I noticed that!!

  • That's right! He sounds like Cookie Monster!

  • bert souds like doug mcenze

  • MY UKULELE!!! haha my ukulele breaks all of the TIME!

  • Why the heck would The Beautiful Day Monster end up eating the ukulele rather than playing it after Ernie fixed it? But I know for sure The Beautiful Day Monster was happy in which Ernie fixed it for him.

  • Yeah... thats true, and he would have gotten some varnish on his little teeth!

  • Well, as he said, who'd want to eat a broken ukulele? Maybe it's like having to eat a chocolate bunny after your bratty little sister ate the ears ;-)

  • Man I just love the Beautiful Day Monster!

  • 38MGA I Do The Same Thing As you. I Don't Want To Eat Broken Chips Also. 38MGA Are you O.k?

  • "I would hate to eat a broken ukeulele." Makes sense, I hate eating broken potato chips and pretzels.

  • @38MGA

I remember a sketch when the Cookie Monster is upset because he has a broken cookie, and he takes it to Maria's fixit shop.

  • the monster's name is 'beautiful day'

  • Ernie seemed to be constantly surrounded by Ukulele eating monsters during the early years of Sesame Street.

  • I play Uku LE LE and u cant have fun with it whens its broken and it doesnt sound like taht and stop crying

  • That is not logical. He could eat it even when it is broken. I think then he could eat it even better.

  • It's the Muppets... when have they ever been logical?

  • @TuxKamen And that's what I like about them.

  • cookie monster, you don't eat

    ukuleles you play them.

    to hear one played

    click on the username above...

  • This is not Cookie Monster!

  • he was when i was growing up.

    but you're right-

    not today-cookies aren't

    so healthy.

    cheers.

  • Sucks for Ernie.

  • sorry, slippahz69. No-one cares about how hawaian words are pronounced or spelled except hawaians. And haole is such a fucking gay word that means basically the whole world except hawaians. Get over yourselves. It's like creating a word for everyone who wasn't born in america. It's really arrogant and rude.

  • With G.W.Bush in the White House, there IS a word for everyone who wasn't born in America... Enemies! ;-) (Just kidding!)

  • Actually Haole means caucasian... and you wouldnt like it if your name or something was pronounced wrong. Its the same thing. and Im sure you havent said ANYTHING about ANYBODY that wasnt the same nationality as you have you? maybe you oughtta get over yourself.

  • While I do believe that we non-Hawaiians should learn to pronounce Ukulele accurately. You're a racist creep. Most Hawaiian nationalists are actually.

  • Its true you always have fun with an ukulele!

  • "It's all broken!" have you ever considered suicide?

  • Isn't that a rather drastic solution?

  • "Just because your ukulele is broken doesn't mean that you can't have fun with it." Words to live by.

  • If Ernie can fix a ukelele, he should be Luis' assistant at the fix-it shop.

  • When did he learn to speak English?

  • "i think something may be wrong"

    lol

  • Tiny Tim's ukulele looked like that after Jerry Lawler was finished with it.

  • lol youkoolaylee, I love the way they pronounce it wrong. so funny.

  • Ernie the luthier!

  • earnie sure does love his rubber duckys

  • haha this one is nice!! :)

  • i love it!

  • ahhhhhhhhhh - i remember this one - i also remember that this puppet used to scare the hell outta me!!

  • poor monster

  • Beautiful Day, Cookie and Ernie are my fav!

  • looks like an early Sam the Eagle

  • HAHAHA! mmm eatable ukulele :P

  • i cry when my ukulele strings brake

  • i cry cuz i dont have a ukulele

  • great.

    I was surprised at Monster-papet ate & broken ukulele,acutually...

    good job

  • LMAO!

  • i love it :D

    this monster is soo sweet

  • (sniff sniff sniff) Its so sad. I did the same once. (sniff) oh I got to get a tissue

  • i know how he feels

  • lllooolll

  • they took Beautiful Day Monster off the show but left Frazzle on there? I don't get it, Frazzle is scary and doesn't make any sense when he talks but at least when Beautiful Day Monster talks, you can understand what he is saying.

  • i love ernie!

  • he isn't so scary, he is kind of cute! :D

  • He kind of reminds me of Herry Monster but with a smaller nose. :D

  • lol

  • He's kinda scary with the sharp teeth and all.

  • yes that is the beautiful day monster, one of my favorite muppets on sesame street. and that sounds like the voice of frank oz.

  • Where can I go without my ukelele?!

  • hahahaha

  • That monster's voice sounds like Cookie, lol! :D Is that Beautiful Day Monster?
