Looking back, I can see why Disney thought this show was getting too dark for kids to watch. There's a lot of heavy stuff here, even for adults, with the Jack-Fi relationship and all of the ghosts of their dad in their hometown--I think most people can really relate to that. Who DIDN'T cry at the last scene??
That last scene had genuine-feeling, believeable human emotion! You dlon't see that in the tween sitcoms that came to dominate the Disney channel later.
Actually, I just found the clip somewhere else on YT. It is the ending (though its been so long, Disney may have done some clipping, so it may just be AN ending), but @ElizabethBathory1990, since you mentioned it, that ending sounds kinda familiar.
When I say "been so long", I mean its been YEARS since I've seen this show - never had the idea to look here. And I usually only caught reruns, and there's eps I never saw, so...*shrugs*
my dad just passed away on june 28 2010 and my dad can play the guitar too and this tv show reminds me of my dad and i am trying sooooo hard not to cry this music it breaks my heart {:'-(
@ImaximX fuck yeah they did,i can never stop watching it i hated when those stupide people have to ruined this show by taking it away from us and by the way thats the name of that song 06:41 cause im dying to hear the full music.
I know it's really upsetting that their father passed away, but I don't know why they can't be happy. They seem so depressed all the time. It's okay to live, even when others are gone. :(
@cheer7780 it's hard when someone dies. I mean it's differen't when a father or husband dies then when a grandparent dies. it's not like they are just going spring up and be happy. you ca tell that they try in the show plus they aren't always depressed they have happy moments just not in this episode.
@VRG75 I get that, it just seems like they are just SO depressed about it that they don't want to move on sometimes. I LOVE this show, always have, always will, but I never realized how much grief was expressed in the show before.
@cheer7780 yeah i know what you mean. back when I was a little kid I thought this show was just scary and didn't think of anything else. Now that i watch it when I am older I find that it isn't scary it's more of a paranormal, psychological, teen drama.. lol
@ElizabethBathory1990 You're thinking of Muse with Annie, this is the real ending of this episode. Muse ends the way you're thinking and Jack almost sees him as well. Your suggestion would make no sense because Molly wasn't on tour again yet, there would not have been a concert.
This one, and the one with her dad actually talking to her or w/e makes me cry because I remeber my dad, and I was little when he died, so I like get fi and all of the things she go through to talk to her daddy.
that's the real ending. from there it went to the credits. (when i was little i was so crazy about this show that i made audio recordings of some of the episodes, just put my tape deck next to the tv. so i have a few of them memorized, including the end of this.)
I lost my grandpa and Grandma record whom might not make it in the second life cause their stupid mormen beliefs which teach you be Gods and Godess's and inherited other worlds just like this one how bizzar is that!!!! But yet its so sad that I may never see them again!!!! And also mt Grandpa Burden whom thank goodness I still have a Grandma Burden so far who might even live to be 100 or even older but Grandpa burden died of a heart attack!!!!
Yeah, that's the ending....the credits should have come up right afterwards; because I think the credits played the same chords that fi and her mom were playing. This is probably one of the better episodes. Kinda sad that Jack isn't seen much in it....but aw well, it's pretty much a given (seeing him in the end) that he probably feels the same as Fi. Still....this was a good episode.
i kno how you feel Misery8luv i have to see the person i know took part of why my bestfriend passed away and no one understands the feeling of remembering that night.. everyone just says move on let it go or forgive her..but i never will
God, this made me so sad the first time I saw it. Now, it just makes me cry. I mean, my dad wasn't a musician, not even close, but....I know what its like. Especailly when people tell me to forget about him and get over it. What I can't believe is that people actually tell you things like that.
yeah I know my dad died over the summer... my momd died a couple years ago.... I was only 13 when my mom dided I am 15 and I had also been 15 when my dad died... it really sucks I miss the 90s when you could relate too tv characters and love tv characters.. im sorry..
I know right now adays everything is all bubblegum and cherries. Thats what I like about shows like So Weird, Taina, Are You Afraid of the Dark, and My So Called Life because they were realistic. Unlike stupid Hannah Montana...
yeah I know... I mean not just disney but every channel is bubblegum and cherries... its all stupid the only things I watch are reruns and they don't have many reruns..
Yeah, I kinda feel the same way... I really miss those times, those series were so good, even if I see 'em now... People will call me crazy for it I guess, but I still like them as much as in the old days... So many good memories:) And series nowadays... I don't know, it doesn't feel right. (by which I mean those of Disney etc...)
Exactly! Even when you THINK they're going to have an emotional moment in Hannah Montana or Jonas or whatever those shows, they slap on some random part and ruin it with a bunch of comedy and stuff so it's like. o__O WTF? no emotion Dx at all.
And half of them have NO plots it's all just random episodes of NOTHING.

I think it did end that way too. Kind of like how the show LOST ends sometimes with one of the characters mysteriouly staring at the others. Picks up in a later episode. Which that medium guy coming to Fi's house, reminds me of that psyhic who saw Claire on LOST. ;)
That's where it ends. I remember watching it for the first time and crying. When the last shot came on of Jack standing there, I "aww"ed and then said "Hey!" in the same breath cause the episode ended there.

God, I love this show. I wish Disney would put it on dvd...or at least show it on their stations again so I could tape it!
I love Jack so much and I always felt so sad for him. He was always looking out for Fi and their mom its like he had to take over being a dad or whatever and he is only 16. The last shot makes me want to cry.
This was the episode that started the dark part of the show. You can kinda see it. But it is good and goes by so fast...I don't seem to remember it! It's so heart-felt though. One reason the show is so good!!!
well I think thats lame that just b/c the show started to get more serious they didn't like it. it actually HAD meaning to it unlike hanna montana and whatever else they show now. =[
