i found this vid very informative, but theres one thing that still confuses me. And that's the pic at 0:25. shouldn't the shiny side be facing outside ie where the current shiny side is shown? the pic at 0:28 makes more sense, no?

To Bowl inswing roughside shouldbe toward wickets [ for right arm bowler and batsman] & most important thing which you cant find anywhere is that, your thumb under the bal should be on shiny serface for an inswinger.

Out swing always keep rough side toward slip, shiny serface toward wickets and thumb on shiny serface, for quick swing hold it tight in the grip and for late swing hold it just in the fingers

I have a theory that reverse swing happens from the magnus effect.

@funk192 No it doesn't.... Robin-Magnus effect explains why a tennis ball curves in the air or why a soccer ball sometimes swirls on kick.

As for a cricket ball, potential flow is just insufficient to explain the swing. The swing of a cricket ball can only be explained by Boundary layer theory.

the angle from which the imran khan delivery is shown makes it impossible to even see the swing

the wasim akram delivery was conventional inswing not reverse swing

the waqar younis one was a good one, tho you put his name perfectly in the middle of the pitch, almost completely obscuring the flight of the ball, which i believe was poor judgement on your part

so to sum up, not a great video of reverse swing at all
