  • This guy doesn't know crap. "Not the most reliable?" I see caddies on the streets from the seventies. When was the last time anyone saw a 35 year old benz or bmw on the streets???

  • Those are some Need For Speed Hot Pursuit drifts lol

  • "191 mph, that makes it one of the fastest cars on the planet" no even anywhere near the top 10 "pretty comftorble car" a caddilac being comftorble? hmm, uhm, no fucking duh?

  • Cadillacs are reliable.

  • Not the most reliable? Are you fucking kidding me? There are Caddies out there running hundreds of thousands of miles. This is a Chevy Aveo, it's a fucking Cadillac!! These Cadillac's will outlast your career you talentless windbag.

  • gm is not trying to compete with porsche ,the ctsv is aimed at the bmw m5.Lets not compare apples to oranges! Both cars are nice its just a matter of taste and how much u are willing to spend.

  • 191 mph isent it the fastest of the world xD

  • something these videos dont cover is the creaky recaros, and the center console my only complaint. Opt for the leather wheel instead, alcantara doesnt wear well. The good add full boltons, tune for +80hp/tq and still get 12mpg city everyday driving like stock.

  • CTS-V COUPE IS A BEAUTIFUL BEAST!!!

  • What the hell is this guy talking about? Not the most reliable?!!! This car was torture tested for weeks and weeks of track use without breaking! Consumer Reports doesn't know shit about cars and they just proved it!

  • who would have thought a cadillac would have would have a comfortable ride. they aren't known for that.

  • god that is one sexy car

  • 191mph Damnnnn

  • @StanOfGB you can always lengthen the gear to 200

  • I would still take the S65, it looks much more nicer, comfortable, better safety, faster too. Though the price was like... ><

  • @SMB67T Unfortunately for most of us it's three time the price of the CTS-V.

  • al capone would be proud

  • That intro is from garage band!!!!!!

  • @111123ass and a shit load more expensive, thats why the cts v is so favored its cost to perfomance ratio is so amazing.

  • in Mac's defense porsche is still better.. the Porsche 911 Turbo S is much more reliable and faster

  • If my life depended on reliability I would go with the CTS-V b/c of the LS engine and traditonal stick shift over the high revving engines and semi auto's in BMWs, AMGs and Audis....

  • I HAVE A VIDEO OF ME DOING 100 IN THE COUPE !

    LOOK:

    watch?v=oGvRzVaSO7s

  • I'd would much rather have a Porsche 911 Carrera GTS. It's lighter, it looks WAY BETTER (seriously, that thing looks like a blocky piece of shit), and it is built better. You can't destroy a German car.

  • @MacOSXMason That is BS. Have you ever seen the video on youtube or somewhere where the owner bullet ridden has Porsche because something crap out and the dealership wanted some unGodly amount of money to fix it. German cars suffer the same issues at times.

  • @shoelover10 what video is that about the porshe?? I want to see it...

  • @MacOSXMason So you would pay $40.000 more for a car that is actually not as good as the CTS-V? Thanks to people like you germans still can sell their crap.

  • @MacOSXMason That's why Orignal beetles still exist

  • Cadillac with standard shift, ...Thats been a while.....?

  • ive got a 93 se ville with the 4.9 and it has 121,000 miles on it and still runs like a gem

  • If the Caddy's fuel economy wasn't so bad it'd be the only car I want to buy. Sadly, 12/19 isn't going to cut it in this world for day to day.

  • @GrandTourer164 it's a supercharged V8, what are you expecting?? 25-30 miles a gallon? Go buy a V6 minivan, for all your fuckin' kids and shut up!!!!

  • @GrandTourer164 the cts v6 18/27

  • looks like an old Celica...

  • Ha my Honda go faster

  • @sweetlipzjami23 no it doesnt....

  • I can pay 30k to go 10 seconds in the 1/4 mile

  • This guy doesn't know shit about cars..

  • The reason that it is unreliable is because it is an american car, and all american cars are unreliable compared to the european and japanese cars.

  • @twoface696 Not true, GM and Ford have both stepped it up quite a bit over the past few years. They use to have a history but not anymore. There both making phenomenal cars. They just don't really point in the direction of making numerious sports performance cars. The closest they normally come is muscle cars, and lets face it, they've always done it the best.

  • @twoface696 Ford has a higher reliability than any german car and most japanese cars

  • @twoface696 Lol my dad only buys american Cars. His last car that actually broke down was in the 80's when he was trying to teach my mom to drive a stick shift in his mustang. His current ford has 150000 miles not a problem yet. My friends at school all have their imports and the only one who hasn't a had a problem is a kid with a BMW 6 Series. This kids Evo has needed to be repaired, accord, civic Si, Rx 8 etc. My friend and I have a mustang and camaro no problems

  • @eliteslayer29 exactly BMW full service warranty so if he had problems he be safe anyways for 50,000 miles of course .. american cars are not as good as you think , your lucky they have last

  • @NACERBALLIN A CTS-V also gets a basic coverage 4 year 50,000 mile warranty. It also gets a 5 year 100,000 mile drivetrain warranty and roadside assistance. I'm still not seeing the problem here? My mother has a CTS, she put 70,000 miles on it in 2 years and it has never had a single problem.

  • this car is sex on wheels

  • not reliable, he's right. I own a cts and I had just passed 60k miles and the amount of problems I have had with the car is ridiculous. My wrx, focus, and mustang I had before did not look as nice but the build quality was 5 times better with a lot less squeaks and rattles and repairs ( I bought an 02 focus new and it never seen the shop except for regular maintnence and sold it with 155k miles and never a problem) while my cts has been in the shop 12 times in 2 years and is also falling apart.

  • Best in world.

  • wow this guy is a complete douche! to say that this engine is unreliable?! are you kidding? that single stupid statement alone is the reason why I wont be watching reviews from here again.

  • k.

  • Lool the LS series is the most reliable V8 on the market

  • my friend was going 70mph on the freeway in second gear, then he shifted to 3rd and spun out and tagged the barrier, some powerful shit

  • I dont get why are they doing this with Cadillac. I mean its awesome car but why didnt they keep Pontiac for sporty stuff. I liked Cadillacs more when they were about luxury and comfort with enough power from v8.

  • @siimp2 Try explaining to the wife why you just bought a $60k to $80k Pontiac! A Cadillac would make more sense. In this case it does I do agree with you with the sporty Pointiacs. I am Ford fan but those 1998 Firehawks were desirable. To bad they don't make them anymore :-(

  • Ok, yeah not the most practical. Yeah thats a given. HOWEVER, GM's LS series small blocks are some of the most reliable v8s on the market.

  • According to last year's data on reliability from consumer reports, Cadillac rated 25th out of 28 carmakers in terms of reliability.

That's where the "probably not the most reliable" comment came from. It came from knowledge of statistics on reliability.

  • Wait a sec... The vid was good until the unreliable part came out..

When was the last time a GM engine had any recall done to it. An LS V8 is the best V8 period.

  • fastest car on the planet? really? i dont think so.

  • NOT RELIABLE? dude you are fuckin on meth or drunk or something to think that this vehicle isnt "reliable," THEY WOULDNT HAVE MADE THE FUCKING CAR IF IT WASNT RELIABLE!!!!!! You sir, FAIL!

  • 198 top speed**

  • This nut knows nothing, it's a hell of a lot more reliable than those he reports as reliable. These Consumer Reports are a bunch of d-bags, just had to throw in a dig.

  • He certainly has all the data on reliability at his fingertips...............but that is a very vague statement. Consumer Reports is usually much more precise..........for instance what aspect of the car is unreliable ?

  • Where are the basis for your comments. Reliablilty in American cars has increased greatly in the past 5 years or so due to the increased use of robotics in manufacturing facilities. This guy did the same thing on the CR-Z review saying that Honda was trying to make a hybrid that was amazing on gas and very sporty when in reality the idea was to make a modest combination of the two.

  • how the FUCK is it not practical and reliable? reeeeeeeeeeeeeetaaaaardddddd

  • amazing car!

  • fuck i want one!

  • Not reliable? Bull Shit. Cadillac kicks BMW's ass. CTS V vs M5 CTS V wins every time. 556 hp for way less than some Lambo or BMW

  • "Probably" not the most reliable? What kind of reporting is that? Instead of *guessing* what the reliability is, maybe you should do a long-term study of several identical cars - or would that be too scientific?

  • To all you Cadillac haters; Go catch a cab in Europe and stay out of America!

  • this isnt a fast car my mustang cobra tht i had got 205 this is a slow ass car

  • @alienworkshop1321, plus shut up when grown folks are talking. Go back to the kiddie table.

  • I could see my grandma doing this in a Cadillac

  • I'm going to see what saabkyle says about this car. This guy does not impress me at all.

  • Many cars used to be not reliable. But 2011 and I doubt I’d walk out to a $60+ Cadillac and have it not start on me.

  • cadillac sucks ass

  • @alienworkshop1231 what do you think is good then you moron?

  • funny to compare reviews of american cars and foreigners ... guess which r the positive and the negative ones. and seriously, this car got the ugliest boot ever ...

  • I have to say you are not a reliable source when it comes to doing car reviews. Hell i might as well let a 16 year old get behind the wheel and tell me how cool it is. Better than, "Not reliable, Not practical" Did you even drive the car?

  • Not reliable? What is he talking about when he says that comment?

  • oooooooo, Cadillac has come to my territory. CTS V is amazing

  • Cool car..:))

  • not the most reliable? in the latest consumer reports car magazine, it says that the the v6 model is below average and that the cts v is above average

  • unreliable go fuck yourself

  • My panther has 108k miles on it.

  • i just got a cadillac tattoo

  • WELL DONE ON THE DRIFTING DUDE!!

  • One bad thing about the CTS. DO NOT get one, rent one, buy one if you live in an area where it snows heavily for even small parts of the year if it's your only vehicle. They are DEATH TRAPS in the ice and snow. Awesome car and it tries it's best to stay on course with it's 28 computers cramming data to keep it on course but at no avail. I got stuck like 10 times last winter, I live in Illinois.

  • @ebooklibrary27 So do I, but it should be common sense to not have a rear wheel drive power car as your only car if you live in Illinois lol.

  • Drive your Porsche, Maserati, Ferrari, or Lamborghini HARD for 100,000 miles like this CTS-V and let's see who's unreliable! I WAS A Ferrari Service Advisor and they break down alot and cost alot to maintain, DITTO for Porsche and Maserati and the rest of them! The Cadillac out muscles ALL OF THEM! And I DO KNOW what I'm talking about being around these cars in service for over 25 years. UNRELIABLE, lets drive them all to 100,000 miles and see!

Oh yeah, good luck getting the Ferrari to 100k~!

  • not reliable?

gtfo! go back to testing phones and shit

  • I think i found my dream car

  • "not reliable"?

    bullshit.

GM's V8s are the most reliable engines money can buy.

  • @rioross That's all Consumer Reports' car reviews are. This video aside, they're written by non-enthusiasts for grandmothers who only care about how much car repairs run... and no matter what the test results, they just recommend the Honda Civic anyway. Car repairs... resale value... that's it. And if the car's foreign, it gets bonus points (but they're not the only magazine that does that one).

  • @rioross I agree! GM has the best powertrain set ups in America!

  • @rioross GM engines period. the 4.3 is the most badass naturally aspirated V6 ever made.

  • @rioross My Cadillac's engine is 21 years old. Ignore the Idiots who buy into lies and foolery.

  • @rioross - of course they are. The complaints of them burning oil at the Cadillac dealer proves it all.

  • @rioross Agreed. Every intellectually sound person should know that.

  • Both Cadillac and Toyota hold the 1st place in consumer satisfaction.

  • I struggle to understand "unreliable" - I put 6000 miles in the first three months driving it in NYC and NJ. Not a whimper in 100+ degree heat and bumper-to-bumper traffic.

Gas mileage isn't bad on the highway, swills around town. What precisely would you expect with 6.2L and 4300 lbs? Keep your foot out of it, and it's fine. Boot it, and watch the guage sink. Quickly.

The GM reliability issues are long gone - we've had three GMs in the last 10 years and ALL have been outstanding.

  • @boston7704 - friend bought a cts 3.6 last died 8 times already. there promblems are definetly not gone and ive heard of lots more.

  • Not the most Practical... Okay that's Understandable.

Not one of the most RELIABLE?

May I ask what makes it unreliable... At least back up your statement.

Uh oh wait... Coming from people that test home appliances.

  • @tamenga88 we all know that gm, chrysler, german cars do not long last like japanese cars

  • How could he say it's not reliable? GM engines are the most reliable on the planet.

  • @Anonymous1226 too bad GM axels, transmissions, power mirrors and the little plastic knob button are not.

  • @potatochobit Too bad GM axels and transmissions are as reliable as it gets moron. Used in 25+ different companies. Power Mirrors? Really? What a dumbass lol

  • I love how when people have nothing else to cry about they start complaining about gas mileage. Keep your corolla, some of us have other priorities such as actually enjoying driving the car

  • " i get 4 seats" "i got room, comfort, climate control" "i got seat warmers" "i also get the gas mileage as a ford bronco"

  • no surprises for a Cadillac

  • Cadillac > Ferrari

  • not fast at all x)

  • Fastest cars on the planet? Most horsepower than any car on the planet? Are you joking me man where did you do your research? You also do know this is base on the Corvette right? Cadillacs have never been reliable products. They are nice to look at but thats about it. Now they are taxing on all the High end models hahahaha Gas guzzler tax etc etc.. Waste...

  • @soyntgo4it It's actually a whole different platform than a corvette and a completely different engine than a corvette. Only now (2012) are they putting the CTS-V engines in the Corvette. Then again, all GM cars are based on other GM cars because GM has 3 divisions catering to the 3 different classes.

  • @Nintenkid91 I would hate to sound rude here, but you mixed up the "putting the CTS-V engines in the Corvette" they use the Corvette engines in the CTS-V, which are LSA engines (LS1,LS2, etc etc) I believe this one is the supercharged LSA engine.

  • Caddys are sweet as hell!!!! especially this one amazing machine!!! CTS V>M5 anyday

  • In general, the performance version of a car is less reliable than normal version,

and according to ConsumerReports survey, the reliability of V6 CTS is below average ,

So it is fair to say that CTS-V is likely to be "not the most reliable"(which lots of people understand as "not reliable" here)

  • I agree with all of the comments

  • Hmm,. those last statements make me think it is not reliable.

  • Its pronounced coup-ay, because it has an é at the end, get it right

  • Impressive car. This is the kind of engineering work GM should have been doing back in the 80's and into the 90's. Maybe they wouldn't have needed the stupid Government Motors Bailout. LOL :)

  • Im in agreement with baileyjean1000, what do you mean not reliable all the Cadillac's me and my family have ever had have always been reliable!

  • This guy is a dumbass and obviously hates Cadillacs.

  • U just said its an EVERY DAY car then u just said its not practical WTF

  • Not reliable? What a tool bag. What is reliable... the $200k-$300k Ferrari that needs a tune up every time you drive it and needs parts that cost more than this CTS-V coupe? Not practical? Actually super practical if you want a luxury car that the family can ride along in and that smokes almost everything else on the road for $60k. This guy is an ignoramus.

  • @jpap967 but the white boy can drive damn

  • @jpap967 Nice. Well said.

  • @jpap967 Well said. I just purchased one of these in the Black Raven paint. The warranty the they give you from the factory is a 4 year 50,000 mile warranty, 100,000 mile power train warranty, and premium maintenance that includes oil changes, brakes, and all regular maintenance. This is all included in the price of the car. These are not add ons. When a warranty is that good, that actually means its not junk. For a car that would break down alot, it would be too pricey for a company to offer.

  • @S60RNESS Just picked mine up last week...black raven as well. I had the 09 v sedan and loved it, however, I think the coupe V is even tighter. Ordered D3 comp springs and 11 mm spacers to take some of the suspension height out. Good luck with yours!!

  • @jpap967 $60K? damn, sounds like u can get some sweet deals on CTSs. more like $72K almost 80 for us californians. but yea he is a douche cuz the cadillac is extremely reliable and for someone like me who cant decide between a luxury car or a camaro, this is the perfect car. not an every day driver of course but thats just because of my choice. not that it wouldnt be good for it.

  • This guy is an idiot.

  • wow, its amazing how you based the "not reliable" on absolutely nothing =)

  • i got a 04 95k+ cadillac cts and the ONLY problems iv had it a power steering line replaced and a passanger rear window motor... so "not reliable" must mean uve NEVER drove one...

  • @1212goose True. But you have to figure that if these people buy a Cadillac and just happen to be that person that does get a problem, they will pounce all over Cadillac's saying how bad they are. It's like someone going somewhere for the first time and having a bad experience when tons of other people have a had a good one, so they decide to tell everyone they know that the place they went to sucks. People don't factor in probability of something happening.

  • "probably not the most reliable" . . . that is a completely ignorant statement made with no basis. I work in automotive and I see older cadillacs all the time needing nothing more than an oil change

  • @04silverGTO I agree. I see tons of older ones and like you said, they hardly need anything done to them.

  • actually cadillac is one of the more reliable cars on the market

  • @trinidee247 ur dumb... Do you not see the new designs for caddys? U will pick up way more girls with a caddy

  • Duuccerrr. who wants a freakin caddy?

  • Yeah. This car looks pretty damned cool to ME. Not your dad's Cadillac . . . .

  • Damn! One day.

  • This consumer reports approach to testing... is tits ! get in & hammer it . forget all the stupid, clever, word smithing & dullness like Motor week for example

  • fastest car on the planet my asssssssssssssssssss

  • @starcraftbw " one of " the fastest cars on the planet, which is totally accurate ! & under 70G

  • @tjfreak you mean @ under 70G

  • @starcraftbw i know dumb asses who know shit about anything dont realize the porsches, lambos, and other high end sports cars go wayyy faster than this caddy

  • @trinidee247 yea but look at the new Cadillacs and Lincoln's and buicks and they are shedding that image. look up the cadillac cien. the super car that almost was born

  • this car is fast, but it is fugly as hell. I would never buy it just because of that.

  • Cadillac should be brought to Australia! I love Cadillac :(

  • @trinidee247 BMW is for rookies and for those hat cannot afford the maintenance cost. Go with Mercedes. Mercedes invented the automobile. Cadillac was patented the year after, 1904, the father of GM. Mercedes= HOT women, not "chicks". Learn your standards son.

  • @trinidee247 Needing an expensive European car just to get some play isn't something to brag about. Also, any chick you could pick up just by having a BMW probably wouldn't even know the CTS-V was a Caddy in the first place.

  • um...did they ever answer the question in the title? How fast is it?

  • @orangechicken210 yes he did, almost 192 mph making it one of the fastest cars on the planet lol.

  • If GM hadn't discontinued it this would've been a pretty damn slick ass Pontiac. As long as they didn't call it G-this or G-that.

  • @chaseman94 except no one would buy it, sad but pontiac was a dead brand,

  • Sorry but the car does not do 190 the car gets to about 175 lol and there is a video of the gt 500 and they are on a track and the cts v can not keep up. It's a fast car my uncle just got one

  • @SHTINONCHEVY Auto is limited to 175 and manual does over 190. I have one.

  • the only reliability issue may the because its Supercharged. Superchargers put a lot of stress and strain on an engine as they run all the time.

I would much rather see mucsle cars equipped with Turbochargers. These generate as much if not more power and are easier on the engine, as they only provide boost when needed.

  • @utoob90988 Superchargers provide boost under a load just like turbos.

  • its a great car as long as you dont compare it to the europeans or the japanese

  • When you say "not reliable", I have to wonder what you are basing that statement on.

I've had a few Cadillacs, and they were always reliable. Please elaborate this point.

Unless you have some good hard facts relating to quality control (and not drivers beating the crap out of these beauties) I would like to see a retraction.....

  • @baileyjean1000 He said "probably not the most reliable" I don't think he meant this thing is going to break down and cry at a certain point, he was referencing it to other cars. Obviously he wasn't calling it unreliable, but a CTS-V, along with ANY other high performance vehicle is going to cost more at a certain point in time, FI motors, magnetic ride control, that stiffened suspension, suspension parts, that and more is going to cost more to fix and will break more often is what hes saying.

  • @baileyjean1000 What I heard in that last statement is "Consumer Reports is still biased against the Big Three"

  • @ryanmg1 FTR, They actually labeled the Camaro and Mustang as Recommended Vehicles. It's the Challenger they were harsh about because people who own them (and are subscribed to consumer reports) answered the survey about their challengers leading CR to say that the dodge challenger is kinda one of the last vehicles you'd want to own but that depends on your finances.

  • @baileyjean1000 who said it is not reliable

  • @scrokostas The guy in the video :3

  • @baileyjean1000 LOL you're an amateur youtube poster sticking Consumer Reports' feet in the fire? Giving them an ultimatum, "I'd like to see a retraction"...guess what douche, they don't give a shit what you want, you're an internet squid. Your "few" Cadillacs were reliable, good for you--they base their ratings on THOUSANDS of car reports. Unless you get a clue, I'd like to see you STFU, thanks.

  • @comlax22 They test cars like they test blenders. Your average car enthusiast does have more of a clue than Consumer Reports.

  • @baileyjean1000 I agree 100% with you. I bet this car is more reliable than any other car that can produce this ammount of power because its built properly. Ferrari and lambo are money pits they have so much going on with them they break a lot. I own a Cadillac also, and it has been more reliable than any other car my family has owned.

  • @baileyjean1000 - ConsumerReports had complaints from its owners than and there in dealerships for service a lot but its good car. Idk what their talking about.

  • @baileyjean1000 He maybe means like through all seasons if you live somewhere that snows alot or something. I can't imagine they'd be that great in the snow.

  • @baileyjean1000 LOL "I would like to see a retraction" why are all of the CTS-V owners so butt hurt when someone says something negative about their cars? It's one review. The CTS-V *HAS BEEN* unreliable, just look on the forums. A long list of TSBs, warranty repairs and shop time everywhere. Take a chill pill. He said "probably not the most reliable," which is not the same as declaring it unreliable. Geezus.

  • READ..this video does not do this car justice. My dad just bought this car accept the 600hp. there are only 5 in california. maybe it is the wheels but the car that we own looks and sounds ten times better then this. My dad is a collector of many cars including a 67 kopo camaro with a 427.. this cady is louder then the kopo.. and faster then our ferrari spider..Enough said

  • i gave up my m3 to lease that beast..
