  • Does watching this video lower the value of my house?

  • The 88 Aerostar engine was used in some TVR S3s until 1993 !!

  • @abemotorsports 2.9 fuel injection v6? Or the 3.0l Vulcan?

  • @Motorfordtoyota THE 2.9L the "S" or "S1"was 2.8L but the "S2-S4" were 2.9L !!

  • @abemotorsports Ahhh ok. Ford got rid of the 2.9 by 1993 for America.

  • @Motorfordtoyota so was TVR after 1994 they were using Rover Engines in their V8s, and the Inline 6 called the Speed Sox, the TVR S series ended production after revealing the Griffith 400 , another car that came with that 2.9L Cologne V6 engine also was the Merkur Scorpio

  • @abemotorsports cool. Didnt they use Rover's 3.5? Because according to Top Gear, that 3.5 was bought off of Buick.

  • @Motorfordtoyota YES and I believe that same engine can be found in the Lotus Esprit and the end of the ROVER V8 Engines came in 2006 when they sold the company to China !!

  • @abemotorsports That sucks, but I find if funny how the Europeans are always saying American engines are shit, ect. ect. when one of Britains best mass produced engines is American designed! Just sayin.

  • @Motorfordtoyota you're right they've mostly think more about American engines when talking about performance or power, especially the British many of their cars were powered especially with FORD: AC Cars, Early TVRs Early Lotus, Ginetta, Sunbeam, and newer Lotus with GM and Toyota, and the ROVER V8 came from its 215 Buick Skylark Engine 3.5L, so not sayin you got it right

  • @abemotorsports Cool. Yeah, the Evora from Lotus uses a modified 3.5 Toyota Camry engine currently.

  • sounds almost like my old aerostar, except in my case the muffler rusted away and fell off lol

great vans, just like an energizer bunny, they just don't quit

  • update on the legendary aerostar.....tranny seal blew out!

  • fine engineering

  • @pcmr57 So your less powerful, heavier(by 500 pounds) van, outran a more powerful(15-35 Hp, pending on motor), better geared van?. Car and Driver has always been about which manufacturer would pay more. The first said the 2011 Mustang was still .3 seconds slower than the 2011 Camaro. They said the Dodge Ram was indestructible... They said Chevy wouldn't have benefited from a bailout.

  • @pcmr57 As are all RWD vehicles. If you had the Extended length, Its not bad in the ice. If you put stuff in the back, it was better. If you had a locking rear-end(with the Extended van) It was also better. It can also pull, and haul more cargo in the van or on a trailer than the Caravan. It was always faster than the Caravan, because of its Transmission and Rear-end. Parts are cheaper, because most of the components were shared with the Ranger-Explorer. A V8 swap can be done in a weekend.

  • @pcmr57 but adding a 5.0L wouldn't be a bad idea to it!

  • I like this one instead of the Voyagers or Astro (they feel heavy), especially the 4x4's Aerostars, man waylinvanhalen, I like the way you went uphill! Nice video and keep up more adventures, nice paint of job !!

  • @pcmr57 you have never ridden in one then...

  • Hows that thing ride with no shocks? lol

  • btw the straight pipe from hell was my Metro with only a 1.5" exhaust and just a stock cat, no muffler that was super loud, it buzzed and popped like no other, sounded like a lawnmower but a lot louder lol

  • if ya had a cat on it, it aint a straight pipe!

  • if you hold up the cat you can see through the honeycomb-like structure, so it's almost straight pipe

i could take it off and have it dump out of the manifold, guarantee it'll be louder and it'll shoot flames, cool looking but horribly annoying

  • she's gonna die very soon being that overweight at that age, hope you have fun with the funeral, get a wide casket and hearse

  • your mom doesnt mind my aerostar when we fuck in it but i gotta say she also rode Like SHITTT

  • looks like a chick magnet. haha

  • I have a stock '97 Aerostar XLT with the 4.0L V6 & i did the 1/4 mile in 17.8 seconds racing a '94 Camaro that barely beat me. The fastest I've gone in it is 90mph but I've never tried to see how fast it would go.

  • this one does 150

  • @waylinvanhalen mine does 150+

  • nice paint job lol

  • hehehe thanks

  • that is so cool. my brother owns a 1986 ford aerostar xly with a 5 speed. car is loud and fast. just putv a high performance clutch in it. check outs my vids by typing timforsyth89

  • all you need is a fart can and your good to go

  • no fart cans on american!!

  • The van is lacking struts and shocks if so thats crazy!! Those who were making fun of i going over the hill a vehicle with shocks would have the vehicles full weight working against in on that hill I'm amazed it made it up at all. Btw, tho cool van to use those things seem to last forever!!

  • LMAO

  • Sounds like the worlds largest fart to me...

  • lol thats awesome...it wobbles like jello XD

  • Hey now that is a mighty FORD

  • what a hunk of garbage lol

  • hey now....hah

  • lmao at it struggling to make it up the tiny hill

  • It's funny. It's a working car and all but the hill scene reminds me of a fat kid climbing a hill lol.

  • i agree about the van part, ive got a red 94 and they're a beast lol

  • What a piece! I love it!

  • Oh my goodness Way. That video brought tears to my eyes I was laughing so hard. What a foxy set of wheels...Love it.
