It's Pagat Point past the cave. The video doesn't show it but what he jumps off of is a natural arch and the water is very deep. The main concern here is if the water is too rough or not. From what I can see it was ok as there wasn't too much white water. I used to lead tourist hikes to this spot.
that was terribly idiotic and you were extremely lucky. being on the east side of the island you could have easily been swept out by a tow and found only days later as your body would wash up on the shores of pohnpei. you are very lucky indeed. i dont advise anyone to do this
IF THIS WAS TWO LOVERS POINT, NATE WON'T BE ALIVE TODAY. NICE JUMP NATE, BUT YOU ARE LUCKY THE CURRENT DIDN'T TAKE YOU. YOU COULD OF GOT SUCKED DOWN AND GET TRAPPED UNDER THE ROCKS. DON'T UNDER ESTIMATE OUR CURRENTS. BE SAFE :-)
That's pagat cliff, near the caves. I jumped off that once. The jump was fun but I almost drowned trying to get out of the water afterwards. The military is planning to restrict access to this area for a new firing range.
Wow...I used to scuba dive around that area when I lived there, and it can be nasty at times, even with an air supply on your back. The second jump it looks like high tide was coming in. The danger isn't getting washed out to sea, it is getting caught under the ledge when the water gets too high and not being able to fight against the incoming tide. Glad you had fun though! I miss Guam!
Question for the locals: is that near where the fresh water cave is that opens up in the mountains?
Oh holy crap!! It looked just as dangerous as it looked fun. wooohooo that he did it and without incident.woohooo! the rock climbing was as impressive as the jumps, those rocks are jagged and sharp and hard to hold on to. Crap, I'd be a holy mess if my kid did that....
I don't think so. It was near a cave with a pool on the north side of the island near the Air Force base. Its a hike thats kind of hard to find but Im sure most locals could tell you where.
At the 2:23 mark, I could see a Point. I a "local" but not that familiar with it. My only guess is you must have been hiking Marbo/Marble Cave. Nonetheless, what an awesome jump. Next time I go back to Guam, I am going to find that spot, jump it, film it and hopefully post up a video response. Nicely done dude.
If you are familiar with andy south (former airforce housing south of andersen) It's more closer that way. Pagat cave. My buddies and I used to go there after school all the time.

I think the cave you are talking about that opens near the "mountains" is Marbo which is about five-seven minutes south of Pagat.
