I did fat shredder stage for 6 months with an extra portion of carbs at lunch - so none at dinner (90% of the time) at 2500 cal - 2700 cals (i'm 165 lbs) and I had good results with that. I workout in the morning so after that I tried not to spike my insulin levels with fast digesting carbs.
I followed the diet very closely. However, much of the time I fell short on calories. Probably 1 out of 4 days I was 300 to 400 calories short of the recommended intake.

Wow man, even though you said you weren't too happy with your results you can totally see the definition in your chest and biceps coming out. Break the 200lbs marker after round 2 man!
Yeah I think I'm in the same boat as you man...today was my 2nd day in and plyometrics kicked my ass way too hard.
I finished all of Chest and Back (but squeezed by barely at like 1 rep for each exercise in the 2nd round)and managed 14 of the 16 minutes of Ab Ripper then HAD to shut it off.
Today I did Plyo and freaking died 21 mintues in to the thing. I couldn't even stand up. I'm going to continue to do it but I'm definitely repeating the classic program after the 90 days.

i can see why ur dissapointed. i mean most people have somewhat of abs when done with 90 days. but the trick is not to get down u lost 20lbs in 90 days which is not bad. also i think ur diet made of playted on role on ur results. im just supreissed ur only able to 3 pullups after 90 days of trianing?? on round 2 up ur protein as much as u can. for every pound of len muscle u have u should be eating that much protein a day.. ur reults will sky rocket if u take this into account anyws gl witr2

humm it looks like you tottaly misunderstood what i was saying. i can also tell that you have not done your research on ur nutrion.. no human being can eay 200lb of protein.. what i meant to say was if u weight 200llbs then you should be having atleast 180grams of protein per day.. meaning having 30grams or more per meal you eat... thats what i do and i promise you if u are eating 180g of proteing a day, and working out ur restults will sky rocket.. ihope that helps

It's called the Velocity Diet (V-Diet for short). I've gotten quite a few e-mails about this, so I think I'm just going to put out a video detailing the intricacies of it. It isn't something you want to do in the middle of P90X, but afterwards, because the P90X cardio routines would be too catabolic.

I was getting dejected in the middle of the program because I stopped getting results. The hardest part was sticking to it when I wasn't seeing any improvement.

Great vid, plateau's suck! I hit one in the middle of Lean Version. You have to try several things to shake that crap away. Muscle confusion is nothing new. Anyone can go and grab a 20 year old muscle magazine and read up on the theory. P90X does keep you from hitting a fitness platuea but will not stop the diet setbacks, thats just our bodies rebelling the changes. You got some really great results, you should keep it up. Stick with Classic another cycle and then change gears to Plus.
HOLY $hi*. Great progress for Round 1 man! Just a question, what are you using to determine your body-fat? I think you're down closer to 20% just looking at these photos. Keep bringing it!
For BF% I am using a bathroom scale that has BMI, BF%, etc. features on it. Those scales aren't terribly accurate, maybe off as much as 4%. But I figured as long as the numbers keep going down, that's all I need to know. I'll probably get some calipers for next round.
Ive started my own p90x preparation. Ive been doing for 2 weeks to get me ready for it which im starting in one week.

There is a range for protein intake based on your goals but generally you're looking at .9 to 1.25 g of protein per pound of body weight.
