  • Your philosophy 0:43 is like the name of the channel- not serious. We don't need your Truth, we need Facts. And these facts telling me- you don't see further than 10 metres on this planet. People have nothing to eat and you telling deliusional stories bout white rise. My tip- bake your own bread and doesn't matter what colour it will be, as long as you forget the meaning of these words: label, package, 100%, gr store, product for your mouth and etc.

  • Thank you for putting this video together, I am your typical person that knows very little about nutrition besides the basic. I had no idea about the wheat bread being white, that explains some serious malfunctions I will keep to myself, lol. I was one of those people that was suckered in buying fake wheat bread. Thank's to Natalie, I actually discovered where I shop there are less than 5 brands that are not white bread, I went through all of the bread.

  • As a black man, I can not eat brown rice or wheat bread. My black taste buds don't like wheat foods because they're crunchy and are therefore nasty. As a black man, I take a very effective multivitamin that's made for black people only. I'm going to continue to eat white rice and white bread, but I'll all right. I'm black, so I know.

  • I cut all grains out of my diet, why do we need it? Grains are not supposed to be in our diet think about a couple hundred years back, humans didn't consume such grains. 

  • @pearse984 hundred years? grains have been apart of our diet for about 10,000 years but i like the idea of the paleo diet. It is very, very expensive though :-(

  • Actually I have heard that Italian THESE DAYS eat white bread and pasta every day but only when they started refining the flour taking out the nutrients, the med diet is not as healthy as it used to be.

  • Thanks for the video. On a Dempster's bread product, the front of the package says 100% whole grain. However, the first ingredient says "whole grain whole wheat flour including the germ" but doesn't have 100% before it. Is this a healthy bread?

  • Ezekiel 4:9 is some good stuff. I have been eating that for a few years, almost every morning as toast. The sprouted grain and the organic ingredients make it one of the healthiest bread choices you can make.

  • I only eat sprouted whole grain bread that has NO flour. white enriched flour is

    one of the worst things that can be put into a digestive system. It will clog up your colon, that's why there is an epidemic of colon cancer, but the fda won't

    tell you that.

  • I've been eating Ezekiel bread ever since I saw your video and I don't think I can ever go back to the fake wheat breads sold at regular supermarkets now that I know what real whole wheat is like.

  • You have a great start, but know that cholesterol isn't a bad thing (unless you have high DENSE LDL, the bad part of LDL). Very good research. :) Also, the Sara Lee whole grain white bread is made of 30% whole grain from a different species of wheat that is lighter and sweeter, and the rest - yes - is probably white bread. Oh, and keep an eye out for breads with high fructose corn syrup. You DON'T want to be eating these, otherwise you're killing the point of eating whole wheat bread.

  • @identityHero my main exception to this video was her comment "if it's white, don't take a bite". That is ridiculous because there are many things that are white that are very healthy for you. My second beef is that people eat white breads all around the world, enriched and otherwise. They may not be as healthy as whole grains but aren't unhealthy for you either, just not as nutritious. You can disagree with me, but I don't see the need for insults. Don't take it so personal. lol

  • I eat the sprouted grain, 100% whole grain breads too, no sugar shock, low GI. Some of these breads need to be frozen because they have no preservatives, depending on the brand.

  • Potatoes are white and responsible for saving millions and millions of people from starvation and packed with energy and nutrients, zero cholesterol. They are white. To say don't eat them is totally irresponsible.

  • @dean2663 There are a number of extraneous variables that come into play in that equation. Italians and Europeans eat healthier and exercise more than Americans anyway, so just the fact that they eat white bread doesn't prove white bread is not bad for you.

  • Thanks for sharing your wisdom ... Please, if you will make a lecture on detox. My body is having so many reactions (inflammation, insomnia, constipation, etc), and I can only relate it to taking drugs for 4 yes (vidicon , naproxen, which I can't stop because of chronic pain). Detox programs are sold, but most of us can't afford it. Thanks

  • @kumikoStarss if you are more specific on what sort of detox you are looking into I can probably help you locate some information. there are a number of detoxes, from heavy metals, to colon cleanses, to liver detox. A good way to conduct an excellent detox is to go on a 3 day organic apple fast. your body is set up to naturally detox and while fasting on apples alone your body has the time to cleanse. check it out, and let me know what you're looking for. peace =]

  • @tkuliocowske - First of all, thank you for your response. Well, I am interested on cleansing my body from the chemicals I have been consuming for so long, that is medications. I have no idea where do painkillers accumulate in the body-- maybe a detox of the colon and liver? Would greatly appreciate your insight on this. And thank you ahead of time for your replies!

  • Grains are terrible for our health. They are the cause of auto immune disorders, heart disease and many cancers in this country. Natalie please do some research into Gluten Syndrome or Gluten Intollerance and you will quickly see what I mean. Celiac is only a small fraction of the problems gluten causes and I think if you educate yourself you can reach a lot of people. Meanwhile if you are chronically ill, cut out gluten for a month and see how you feel. It just may be the culprit.

  • Actually 100% whole wheat bread does not include the germ portion of the grain since germ spoils very quickly. So its not really WHOLE wheat.

You're well spoken and cute too, keep up with making the informative vids! I have been eating spelt bread made by a local farmer and he grows the spelt as well. I bought a bunch of whole spelt flour from him and began making some sourdough starter and baking my own, don't know why the heck I have been buying bread when it's this easy and rewarding to make it myself

  • @sharonleeable1 They most likely have vegetable oils in it...Which causes heart disease...To find the best bread possible, I suggest you go to your local Whole Foods/Henry's/Traders Joe/any health food store and look for "Sprouted Grain/wheat bread. When they sprout it, it releases all the phytic acid...

The sour dough and sprouting process can result in a far more nutritious bread.

  • I've been pissed because when I make a sandwich it isn't filling at all. I've tried like 3 different kinds of "who grain" break and it's like just air in the middle. It's basically garbage. that's why I'm I got my lovely gf to make bread now. with real wheat

  • I think it's best to avoid bread altogether. Even the 100% sprouted breads have added gluten now. Eat brown rice or buckwheat kernels instead.

  • Your best choice for healthy bread is to grind your own wheat and make the bread right after grinding it. Flour bought in the stores have already oxidized and lost all their nutrents. Use molasses or honey as a sweetener instead of refined sugar. No additives, no preservatives. You control what goes into your food. The flavor is so much better and you know what all the ingredients are. I've been baking my own bread for years and will never buy any (so called) bread from the store.

  • I have been using this brand of bread because It contains no HFCS and is 100% whole wheat. !005 whole grain. It'd called: Healthy Life. first ingredient is water, 100% whole grain whole wheat flour, soy fiber and/or wheat fiber and/or sugar cane fiber, wheat gluten, yeast, brown sugar,, contains 2% or less of the following: molasses, salt,dough conditioners ( mono & diglycerides, soduim stearoyl, lactylate, ethooxylated mono-diglycerides, ascorbic acid, calcium peroxide, azodicarbonamide )

  • This is very informative. I just had one small point to correct, they can lie on the ingredient list, by putting "natural flavors" or other loop hole terms. The FDA does not protect its people; but we are not alone, more than over half the worlds governments don't protect its citizens from these slow mass murders. The authorities should stipulate that the manufacturers are compelled to list the percentages, or have only one labelling system by law which is devised by a consumer organisation that gives manufacturers only one option so that the consumer doesn't need to do a course to decipher labels.

    I have a question for you. Today i was looking for a Pepperidge 100% whole wheat flour bread but when i Found it, i realized that it had high fructose corn syrup.

    After a while i found another bread from Pepperidge(Soft honey whole wheat) with No high fructose corn syrup added but in the ingredients it doesn't say 100% whole wheat flour. It just says whole wheat flour as the first ingredient in the list. I'm kinda confused.Can u help me with this please?

  • @abbyrose12335 you are odd, people do can change if they want to, white bread is indeed not the best thing to eat, but I am like you too - I like white bread an compared to most people I eat crazily healthy, so what is so bad about eating it once a week ( I like rye bread more so it is once a week for whire, not that I care much for it nutrition values) and the fact you need to lose weight is already frustrating, you weren't foing smth right before, good thing it changed

    Soy is ideally suited as an oil-seed crop: paints, lubricnts, fuel, etc. The inventor of the diesal engine intended for them to run on plant oils. Then the petro industry got involved... BTW, soy - unless fermented - is not as healthy as we have been lead to believe. Info on why even organic soy is not a great food is available. Do the research and make your own choices.
