  • Hi Terry! Now you have a great project bike! I really prefer the german one. They are built much better than the turkish versions. If I buy MZ again in future I would like to try ETZ 125/150. Just for a commuter. :-)

  • @twostrokesmoker

    Hi Cheer's

Yes i think they are a great bike .

I've only ridden a 251 once before but found it very responsive and good in traffic .

    All the best

    Terry

  • @terence20001 I have to agree that the MZ is much more like you said "responsive" than in a Jawa. Engine have a good gas response but in my opinion rev's feel like to die a bit too early. In 301 model engine dies in about 5900rpm. Maybe with a different exhaust that can be solved. :) MZ engine have also a annoying feature of "back kikcing"(sorry I don't know the correct english word)when turning the throttle off. I think that the main reason for it is the lack of reed valve...

  • Nice running !! :)

  • @Sumilov

    Hi Thanks

im well pleased it started up so well.

Looking forward now to changing a few things around on it :-)

    all the best

    Terry

  • very very good idea :)

    All the best

    Terry

  • Hey nice JAWA engine there, very well done. Also never seen a cylinder block so big like the MZ. Also heard you speak about the twist throttle, is that the same as that on the original JAWA bikes.

  • @fnirani Hi Thank's , i've always liked the jawa iron cylinder type engine i think they give the bike a different type of ride compared to the type 638 .

So this 632 iron cylinder engine has same engine mounts as the jawa 638 unlike the original iron cylinder type 634 so it will fit straight into my bike without any changes .

The M.Z. does have large cylinder block , i've alway's thought this myself .

A Jawa twist grip is a good idea cheer's as i've got a jawa master cylinder .

  • hi mate it would be a great idea on a vid of the rebuild I know a lot of people would be interested .is Dennis the the guy from the mz owners club he is a very interesting elderly man a real gentleman regards Ray

  • Hi Ray Glad you like the idea of filming the rebuild , wish i'de filmed the stripdown now :-)

Dennis is in the M.Z. owners and Jawa owners . He has a Jawa Combo and another jawa he has for solo ride . It's the Jawa without side car which needs an engine . He was at the national this year im sure were talking of the same person , His youtube is pitbull1952 . Cheer's Terry

  • Excellent video Terry as always, thoroughly enjoyed watching it. :-)

  • @Bevoin1970 Hi Paul ,

Im pleased you like the vid , I was well chuffed when i got the M.Z. started it was just like Dennis said a good runner , Now it's all good i can let my imagination start working l.o.l. Cheer's Paul .

    All the best Terry

  • Now that's what I call a guy with an attitude of gratitude! Loving the progress!

  • @Jafromobile Hi , I love these situations where we can trade and both get what we need without cash involved , Thank's for your comment . All the best Terry

  • hi Terry you are a top man

  • @jawaczman Hi Ray Thank's . If Dennis is as happy with the 638 engine as i am with the M.Z. then i'll be well pleased we both got somthing we wanted . Thank's Ray and all the best . Terry
