There's a free screen recorder that comes with every mac, which is quicktime player but it sucks because it captures the whole screen and when you import it into iMovie, you can't crop really small.

However, there is an awesome virus-free screen recorder called "Screenium" Which is so great, i recommend it! You need to download it though... You can choose the area you want to record. + You don't need to crop it onto imovie :^)

@isabellitaosorio As I said in my other comment I use several screen recorders. I highly recommend Screen Flow, google it. Record the movie then export it. After exporting it from screen flow go to imovie and then click file (or imovie I forgot) > Import > Movies.

I use several screen recorders.

To add clips you must go to the top where it says "Import" under "File" then chose the clips you want to add. The clips should be at the top and you can click and drag them.
