"The footage of Monroe's dress billowing over a subway grate was shot twice: The first take was shot at Manhattan's Lexington Avenue at 52nd Street and the second on a sound stage. The sound stage footage is what made its way into the final film, as the original on-location footage's sound had been rendered useless by the over excited crowd present during filming whistling over Monroe's see-through panties"
@sensen772 where abouts did the scene happen? i thought i was in new york..i was there like 3 months ago. but i dont think i saw this on the street it happened
@matt17389 It was in New York. 45th and Broadway. In the summer, Chicago unveiled a 26-foot tall statue of Marilyn in her famous white dress and pose which now stands beneath the Tribune tower. It would of course face controversy as many of its viewers find it to be trashy so there will be taking it down next Spring.
@MJROoKieRook How Do You Know???
