this is a beautiful mechanical work of art. Every beat i hear with my watch resembles the workmanship and technology behind it... a mechanical watch is indeed top of its class compared to digital - in some aspects ;)
I have a 7750 movement in my watch, problem is I have no idea who really put the thing together, its a bit of an oddity. I was actually given the watch and know its a genuine article. However.....no idea how it happened but it won't reset on the timing. I live in London and need it fixed, any ideas where I could get a watch with a rare casing fixed?
@bladerunnerice I have 2 Tissot watches with this 7750 movement and one of them runs fast as expected but the other is somehow a very freaky watch. I have no idea why the dam thing is so accurate. I have compared it to my Chopard which is a certified chronometer and the tissot is more accurate. I wish someone could explain this freaky watch to me, but because its so accurate I will never sell it.
Shit...I've spent 6000 Euro on an IWC watch knowing that it has the 7750,but after 3 days I could not standing it any more.....noisy,wobbly....terrbile. ETA is ok only for 2824 and 2892,all the rest is bullshit, especially the 7750..
Well, the 7750 is a class on its own, a great piece of engineering: a reliable and robust workhorse and, properly adjusted, one of the most accurate movements out there, outclassing all but the truly best stuff.
Albeit, it is not a fine boutique movement... it's thick as a brick, not specially pretty, the chrono action, is precise but the feel on the pushers may feel coarse, and I don't like the "whzzzip"! feeling and sound when winding it.
It is a good movement for moderately priced watches...
The sound was picked up using a witschi timming machine.
the 7734 is NOT a "non auto" 7750, they are entirelly different movements. the stock manual version of the 7750 family is the 7765, with day only and without hour totalizer.
the 7734 is a valjoux design of the previous generation.
It can be done using Cool Edit. I believe it was low-pass filtered for effect in this example.
By the way, 7750 chronographs can be had for as little as $450. A non-automatic version, the 7734, is still being made, in an improved version by Poljot: the 3133, which can be had for $150 or sometimes even less.
The white-balance is way off on this too!

That's why after many searches,I chose to buy a russian watch that has a mechanical mechanism instead of an automatic eta movement.
SacreDro 8 months ago
@SacreDro That sounds contradictory. Automatic ETA movements are also mechanical mechanism too.

@ChicaWolverina Some have automatic movement others require to be winded by the crown, that's why they're called mechanical watches.

If they are 36,000 / hr. on the workhorse are the most advanced movement. Even Sea Gull can produce this speedy workhorse.

Which way for magnificating the sound?

1) Locate restroom or small closet.
2) Enter restroom or closet.
3) Close door.
4) Scream loudly.
