  • Qawi was the best at clowning and making fun of his fighters while he was beating the heck out of them.

  • dwight myman i no him camden buzzsaw all day'

  • (laughs) Did Qawi go to the John McEnroe School of Good Sportsmanship?

  • I remember watching this fight on TV. It's a shame that it's not all here because I can tell you it was one hell of a battle, a bit like Hagler - Hearns, but twice as long!

  • leon spinks must be the shittiest heavyweight champ ever....and to think the greatest lost to this muppet

  • @jas1able Ali was out his prime when he fought Leon Spinks. At least Ali won the rematch.

  • i like it, but to be fair Qawi wasn't landing many shots during that sequence either

  • @unputer He wasn't throwing much outside of two combination sequences in which he landed 4 or 5 big shots.

  • Braxton would beaten Qawi

  • @JoeyPencils I get it.

  • @wety77 duh...a joke, but if people don't get it....

  • The man the legend Dwight Muhammad Qawi, one of the illest to ever put on a pair of boxing gloves. Had personal problems like all of us still had the wherewithal to make something out of himself get paid and live a celebratory life. Now he gives back helping our youth and steering them in the right direction!!!!!! Only a few like Ali, Frazier, Pryor, Jack Johnson, Jersey Joe who overcame with the grace of CHRIST to make something out of themselves and others!!!! DO$E LOVER $TAR!

  • @CheckitC1 Muhammad Ali, the well known muslim, overcame with the grace of Christ?

    Alright there pal.

  • @pearcemark2 As a Muslim, you are required to believe that Jesus is a messenger of God. So, I guess it's not too wrong to say that Ali was overcame with the grace of Christ.

  • Settle down folks.........it's part of boxing. Spinks allowed himself to get clowned.

    Carry on folks!

  • This was the end of the Qawi era - he never won crap after this.

  • He can fight how he likes, there's no rule against slipping punches, and if he wants to rub it in a bit that's up to him, he's the one fighting.

  • Dwight qawi was a drug councellor at a rehab I was in, nicest most funny guy youll ever meet but you can just look at him and tell he can still whoop ass even at 58

  • @mriley858 I never met Qawi, but as a former street fighter and gym warrior, I admired him. Thank you for sharing your story about him.

  • in the mood Qawi was excellent , as a short fighter he always had to pass the other fighters longer range to get inside , so even the best ( holyfield & co ) once they had mixed it with Qawi got on their bikes afterwards.

  • Dwight Muhammad Qawi. Ok,... so screw all the comments. He became exactly what he was. Nothing but a brief moment in boxing. Never was going to be anything more. As the record shows. Much better fighters came along that ended up as forgotten as he is today. NEXT?

  • @Ghstwn He is not forgotten by boxing fans who know what they were seeing. He was from the toughest city in New Jersey, got out of prison and won the lightheavy weight championship of the world, not ordering people around or sitting at a desk, but fighting other grown hard hitting men and beating their asses at all of 5'6. What have you done that compares and don't say "I work 2 jobs".

  • @CLEVELEFS

Also amazing that he didn't even start boxing until about 25 years old, no amateur back ground or anything. Just a tough short guy that soaked up a lot of skills at frazier's gym.

  • @gibememoni Where the hell have you been????? Somebody with some sense and knowledge of what boxing is lol!!!! Great comment and thank you for it.

  • Qawi was totally classless in mocking someone to that extent. Michael spinks took care of him a little later in his career.

  • @loyaldude10 Wrong Michael fought him as a light heavyweight, got a close decision and wouldn't give Dwight a rematch. I think this was Dwight's way of trying to get that rematch. Also he genuinely liked beating people up.

  • hahaha theres a k1 match where Mark Hunt and Sefo just let each other take free shots and laugh it off. Its great to watch but it cant be good for later down the track sadly

  • LOL! 3 straight hooks missed. Too Funny!

  • Beast

  • what the??

  • Qawi fought prison-style. It worked agaisnt many, but guys with both heart and skill were able to overcome him: Holyfield, Michael Spinks, etc.

  • Easy to taunt someone like that when they're washed up and can't fight back. I'm glad Leon's brother Michael beat this jerk. I'm also glad Holyfield and Foreman kicked his ass. He wasn't clowning with them.

  • @cmerc25 yeah he wasnt clownin wen he bitched out against foreman

  • made him look like a bitch for sure

  • Could somebody please confirm that Quawi shows KILLER REFLEX !!!??

  • que humillación! jejje

  • Spinks wasn't washed up there, he was a respectable cruiser. He just wasn't at the level of someone like Qawi.

  • Dwight wasn't laughing much at Michael.

  • DAMN

  • Damn! Poor Leon!!

  • Leon Spinks was by far the dumbest nigger of all time,,, to have it all and not wind up with shit. Now his brother Michael was much smarter

  • he mocked leon becuase michaels destroyed him

  • lmao thats fuckedddd

  • I hate when boxers do this.

  • Leon Spinks was a big joke

  • Leon Spinks is the ugliest and dumbest heavyweight boxer I've ever seen.

  • @FijneWIET lol.

  • @FijneWIET Sir, may I present to you, Mr Audley Harrison. Who looks like the product of the Predator on a sexual rampage in a Nigerian women's prison, fights like Steven Hawking and has the wit of dsylexic hillbilly. I rest my case.

  • @DrMo249 Quite funny I grant you...but calm things down to a frenzy.. You are outting yourself as that very same hillbilly..only with a plus IQ

  • @worldcoup perhaps I am, however, in light of Mr Harrison latest performance I must admit I misjudged the man. Here is a man who only landed a single punch in 3 rounds of a championship boxing match. He maybe the greatest liar the world has ever known. Audley, I salute you sir.

  • @DrMo249 It was ridiculous for sure. But thats sport believe it or not.

Chelsea got paid handsomely last weekend too. Audley's not a liar he's a trier. He deserves every penny and he'll get it. Oh and fck those royal cnuts too.

  • @worldcoup Don't want 2 start an arguement here. Audley, as a pro, is & will always be a failure. He promised many things & delivered none of them. He was beaten several times by journeymen & his legacy will be a humiliating defeat. He is a joke & a fraud, not sure what that's got to do with the Royal Family? I'm not banging on about a country famous for bad beer & bacon.

  • @DrMo249 He is not a fraud...simply because he believes is capable.

He is guilty as charged of being a poor contender, but it is his handlers who are frauds not Audley, cos they lied to him and the press about his obvious shortcomings as a boxer. Oh...and in the UK sir, just about everything boils to the royal fungus who feed on the stench of working men's sweat.

  • @worldcoup Audley does his own promotions comrade, perhaps being better informed might allow u2 make a more intelligent & coherent comment, both on Mr Harrison & the Royal Family. If u will speak the Queen's English then I, & anybody else attempting 2read whatever it is ur trying to say will require a better effort than above. An example of fraud would b receiving payment via deception. His purse will not b withheld but the majority of paying viewers (working men) would not object if it was.

  • @FijneWIET ...wtf are you ......prince charming

  • @worldcoup what do you want boy?

  • @FijneWIET .....go thank your grandfather for not swallowing you, before blackmailing his daughter into breeding with his son....take your time you inbred nonce...I know it might take a while

  • @worldcoup cool down mate :) don't forget to take your medicines bro

  • @FijneWIET He's just a dim lad with nothing 2 say re comments above. With a bit of luck the medicine will help & he'll find a productive way 2spend his time.

  • WTF??? That series of hooks at 0:15 look like fukn movie punches. How can you miss a target like that???

  • @ph1484 Dwight's clowning came within an ace of backfiring badly there.

  • @rottenvenetic

Leon would've never had the punch to hurt Qawi though. Qawi had a great chin.

  • @rottenvenetic No ti didn't.

  • @ph1484 cos they're not movie punches you silly twat.

you go stick to Rocky 6...

  • @Maxshard: youtube.com/watch?v=8HkM1oxYCw8

  • I remember being disgusted with Qawi when he did this. Spinks was very weak and in no real condition to fight at this moment. Qawi showed the mentality of a bully, hardly surprising therefore that he quit against, was it Foreman? Dirty little b*stard. I'm going right off to watch that now I think. What goes around comes around!

  • @Maxshard Holyfield pounded him out too

  • @Maxshard No condition to fight? Didn't Spinks win that fight???

  • @bcibibcibcpCB

You are confusing Leon Spinks (above), with his brother Michael Spinks. Leon was weight drained here having dropped down a lot in weight to make the fight at Qawi's natural fighting weight. This was well known at the time.

If Qawi had clowned around whilst Leon still had a good fight left in him, then hats off for trying to psyche him out that way, but Leon was a well beaten man here and was already in considerable distress. Qawi's behaviour was unforgivably distasteful.

  • @Maxshard Yeah you'r right. It was Michael who beat him. Leon fought Ali and had to lose weight to fight Dwight.

  • Qawi should teach some of these young dudes how to move on the inside... you rarely see his type of slick pressure fighter these days, it's sad...

  • Too bad Qawi up and quit against Foreman.

  • Qawi was a very good lightheavyweight. As a hevyweight he was too short. To put him against foreman was a mistake.

  • Dwight Muhammad Qawi was a real good fighter!

  • Qawi was a very tough fighter in his prime.

  • spinks is a joke lol old foreman raped quawi,

  • @consta4891 LOL he didn't "rape" him, quawi won a few of the rounds, and that old foreman knocked michael moorer the fuck out, Quawi is a 5ft6 light heavy going up against one of the heaviest hitters of all time p4p - and THE heaviest puncher ever.

  • @alectrifyingalex

yes quawi is a good fighter, he gave the hell to holyfield, but george foreman is george foreman.

no short puncher in the history might win foreman.

marciano,frazier,tyson,patterson,quawi.... foreman would destroy all them STYLES.

spinks is garbage, even old, fat, slow, with parkinson ali won him.

  • @consta4891 Quawi was a light heavyweight. Even an exeptionaly short light heavyweight. It's not fair to compare him with a giant like Foreman. Ofcourse he could've never won against him.

  • @consta4891 obviously u dont now nothing about boxing, quawi was old himself...and he is not a HW like George, Cruiser at best but really he is just a llight heavy.

  • obviously you are 1piece of shit, i know more on boxing now than you in your complete life, cruiser, heavy, light heavy.... foreman woud destroy qawi, you and your fucking mother in the same night.

  • What wit, this is why everybody takes your seriously !..you know more than "in my complete life" what ever that means..and he would destroy "qawi" lol ? yea he did..he destroyed a shot blown up light heavy, which any 6 years old would understand. Jimmy young, Holyfield and Ali toyed with him though, face fact he wasnt all that.

  • @BringerOfTheTruth yeah but qawi had been active and big ole george was prime to be taken at that stage of his comeback. Qawi did well but hadnt trained and was overweight

  • Qawi was a great fighter. Loved his fight against Saad and Holy

  • Qawi waited until Spinks was thoroughly beaten and fighting on courage alone before he started showing off. It was a thoroughly unnecessary demonstration of cruelty.

I'm so glad George Foreman humbled Qawi to the point that he walked away in mid fight and quit. I expect Spinks got some satisfaction watching that.

  • Wow, washed up or not that took stones to do that in the middle of a fight. (or near the end, as it looked like)

  • Qawi was/is some fighter,he is what Boxing is all about in my Opinion,Tough Charactors proving themselves in the ring,Excellent fighter to watch,....Didnt quite get the recognition in the UK he deserved I think,...

  • What boys and girls club? How can I contact him about some buisness opportunities?

  • Dwight was my counselor too! I love that man, such a great guy.

  • I knew Dwight Muhammad Qawi at a Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center in Mays landing New Jersey, I lived there for 6 months and he was a counselor there. Really cool guy with a lot of good advice, a real good man.

  • Poor Leon completely washed up.

I loved Dwights style but to mock Spinks like that was evil.

  • nay...entertaining!

  • @barkingbasher: Yeah but my boy Michael Spinks whupped Dwights behind.

  • @barkingbasher He wasn't laughing that much when he faced his younger brother.

  • @barkingbasher The crack was already seeping into his life... once you hit coke, you can never compete the same way. Sad!

  • @MegaYouri13 tell taht to Sugar Ray Leonard

  • @barkingbasher It does make Qawi look bad, but Qawi wasn't the one who decided to fight at a weight where he had zero stamina. If the cruiserweight limit had been 200 back then, instead of 190, this might have been different. Spinks clearly couldn't make 190 at that point in his career and be effective.

  • freaking funny as hell now i wanna go download the whole fight he must have been killing him the first three rounds

  • Dwight was a monster.I can't think of many LHTs over the years that would have been able to beat a peak Qawi.

  • Two words- Bob Foster

  • Maybe so - he had the tools and the physique to foil Qawi. But it wouldn't have been a walk in the park for Foster.

    .

To be sure of beating Qawi you needed to be an excellent technical boxer, tall with a long reach and with a big enough punch to get Qawi's respect. Ezzard Charles, Bob Foster and Mike Spinks fit the bill - but not many others do.

  • @AKAKArnott ---Michael Spinks did when he was in his prime---1983?

  • @loyaldude10

See above comment re: Charles,Foster and Spinks

  • @AKAKArnott Mathew Saad Muhammad!

  • I was talking to Dwight today at the Boys and Girls Club gym, he was the man!!!
