a boy grows up really poor. barely food on the table, ragged clothes,and no shoes to keep his "cold feet" warm. he grew up and made a life for himself. he meets this girl and hopes he doesn't have "cold feet" when he talks to her. he worked and worked to promise her everything in the world. some of his friends had a plan to get rich quick. he can now buy her everything. he gets killed in the process and is buried six feet under with his "cold feet."

@SweetTangerine00 I don't think the boy is poor really, he is fed enough and so on, but he has cold feet because he's just lonely. He thinks this girl can be his companion but to keep her he thinks he needs to get her a lot of things when all she has what she needs and all she really wants him. But from his fear of being lonely again and losing her because he doesn't buy her enough he tries to get rich for it but dies because of it when he never needed to. the girl accepted him for him.
