King's Island was so great back in the 80's. My summer camp took a big trip there each summer. We also went to the Beach Waterpark which was just as amazing. It had the right coasters, right rides, and a perfect setup. Unfortunately it is not the same today. The King Cobra and some other great rides were taken down and replaced by rides that are not as good. I went there in 2007 and it was not the same King's Island I knew as a teenager.

Here, in Long Island, New York, I see commericals for Six Flags Great Adventure and sometimes (even a few years ago) they might tell you to pick up coupons at a location. I have even seen Dorney Park coupons at Dunkin Donuts and (maybe) Subway, even though I do not know how far Dorney is from Long Island.

Had to be 1992. It was the only year that had October 4 on Sunday that was after Vortex opened (1987) and before everything turned Paramount (1993).

How...unfortunate, for lack of a better word, that the words "Fun Fling" appeared over the image of Flight Commander, considering what happened on that ride in '91.
