thank you for your comments! the best advice I could give you is practice a lot and watch styles of other drummers you admire. learn the basics and build on that and then push yourself to try different styles - you never know when you will need to use those in a solo or in performing.

Hey, I use Sabian aax, hhx and hh cymbals and I'm very happy with them! Mostly the thinner models of cymbals are what I have.

Hey, yeah it is an 18 inch HHX Evolution crash that I use for my main crash. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a thin and darker toned cymbal! I find that It goes well with many different styles of music!
