that's because you (and so many others) are still too used to listen to popmusic.

Try listening to contemporary classical music and wake up people! This is what nature tells us! These are the real vibrations that are reflecting on our beings and some artists (like Ligeti) are/were able to give those vibrations back to an audience. For most of us, this music and similar artist alike are a laughing stock but I insist: try harder!

@RavyThompson Apesar de não ser exatamente pop, percebo o Radiohead indo mais para este lado, principalmente no álbum "Amnesiac".

Eu gosto muito da sensação que a maioria das músicas de rock alternativo me traz. Veja o "estrago" que a música "Strange Education" do The Cinematics faz nesse vídeo que eu fiz com a minha filha de 3 aninhos. ( /watch?v=aGig0wYK1jE ) Esta música a fez ficar apaixonada por rock. Obviamente ela não sabe falar inglês, mas tenta cantar a música inteira. Xuxa nem pensar.

@ArnoldVeeman Sorry, I'm late. I listen alternative rock most of the time, but for me the best music is the GOOD music, being it rock'n roll (most of them) or country music (a few). I don't listen too much pop. As for contemporary classical music, I think Ligeti is the composer that links most successfully this kind of music to the mainstream, but when I listen to Milton Babbitt, it kinda makes me sick.
