Hbc, so a person has to be coked up to put on a reality -altering performance? Maybe in your world, pal. Isn't it also just as possible that David is just a natural-born performer who has more musical talent and ideas during an afternoon nap of than most artist have in a lifetime? Maybe it's you with the coke habit.
An amazing show. They removed the first three rows of seats for a camera track dolly, had cameras all over the venue including a giant jib arm. The third show was free, and only for those were invited from the first two nights. I caught the second and third shots. The band was all NYC studio heavy hitters. Awesome arrangements, ridiculous sound, really the best live show I ever got to see.... wow.
I bet this was part of the Rei Momo tour which I missed (still have the ticket) due to an event called the "Loma Prieta Earthquake" which occurred on my fucking birthday, October 17, in 1989 and shut the Warfield in S.F. down for renovations.
I am now going to slit my wrists... kidding.
What I would have given to see Mr. Byrne arrayed in such glory back in the day.
(Luckily I at least previously caught the Stop Making Sense tour at the Greek in Berkeley--not too bad for a 200-mile commute)
amazing how much harder david byrne grooves with a funky drummer. love the talking heads, but i would love more to hear some of their songs with a drummer other than chris frantz
wow. saw the rio momo???his first solo album tour and i think this is the same band>>>????One of the maddest gigs i've been too in london at the town and country which is now the something something in Kentish Town. Any more? peace and love to the new arrive!

Blind was always my least favourite Talking Heads song. The album version is, I think, truly abysmal. David does a good job here, though.

Davids' brilliance is that he always surrounds himself with the BEST musicians---!

Not to my knowledge; I don’t think they toured “Naked” but I’m not 100% sure?
