@hondax450r nope if you shoot lefty ur gonna get hit in the face with the brass. There are a few non AR type weapons that you can switch the bolt on (AUG, ACR, Scar, and I think the Robinson Arms XCR

Most new in box ones usually won't even cycle the bulk target loads unless you have a gunsmith modify the gas system (and some Saigas even have mis-drilled gas ports [Russian quality]) proof: /watch?v=p1fvjncwX8I&feature=channel_video_title (even this Saiga has a modified gas system when it jams) and /watch?v=n1JLON0xkSY&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL . Point, semi-auto shotguns just have that problem, so don't be a strawman.

This also works the same with cheap AK's. I actually bought a Century Arms AK-47 for $450 brand new and that POS jammed all the damn time. You get what you pay for along with reliability, not just the platform you are using. I think the bullet energy under 100 yards is the only good arment for the AK

just a few minutes in and we had a ar malfunction!! Thats a neat little thing for a barbie gun. In a bug out bag, having somethign that accepts 556 and a shotgun round its pretty useful when all you have to do is swap out the barell

@NatureManGuy Well, to my knowledge. I believe that the AR-15 was going to replace the M16, until Colt came up with the M4 for the DEVGRU (Seal Team 6) and other military branches. For some reason the military still uses it, same with Hunters. But back in the 60's when the M16A1 was first used in Nam, and that gun jammed like hell.

@solidfreak123 Quit buying POS Ar-15's and that will stop. I bet my paycheck against yours I can go buy and off the shelf Daniel Defense M4 carbine and run 1000 rounds of 5.56 flawlessly through it. This also works the same with cheap AK's. I actually bought a Century Arms AK-47 for $450 brand new and that POS jammed all the damn time. You get what you pay for along with reliability, not just the platform you are using. I think the bullet energy under 100 yards is the only good arment for the AK

@ViZer0iV Ahh, you can treat an AK like shit and it'll still do it's job. Perhaps not the most accurate, not the most versatile, not the lightest. BUT it is a simple gun to learn to use, recoil isn't too bad and it "...is going to be fathoms more reliable than any AR-15 ever dreamed of."

@fitzyuc I don't disagree that it is a very rugged firearm and functions when needed, but by far is not the best weapon ever, not even best firearm, and I don't simply compare it to the Ar platform, there are so many better desgins. I love most all firearms, minus the .25 acp =P but thats besides the point, I just say its hard to say what is the best, when we probably as civilians don't even know what the latest and greatest is.

@Lockythepilot wll its hard to say that a weapon sistem is "too unreliable" based on youtube videos, there are even videos showing AK rifles jamming very often and even having horrific malfunctions, and that doesnt mean the AK sistem is unreliable, even when unmature people and ar 15 fan boys can use those videos to suppor their "ak sucks" theory. same thing goes with most weapons specially with the ar 15.

@curseofa5r5a what jammings? and what horrific malfunctions? the only herrific malfunction you will ever seen on an AK is called "stovepipe" jam and it occures when idiots use bent ammo or bent magazines to feed their system. And the stove pipe is cleared by just hitting the stuck casing making it drop out. There IS NO OTHER malfunctions.

Military grade AK47's Russian, Serbian, Romanian, Bulgarian, which are made to exact specification and with proper materials will function flawlessly when compared to bad asian copies made out of cerial boxes and glue.... sure.

@Ouija121085 totally agree, you cant judge the realiability of a plattaform based on a single video, just like many AR15 fnaboys do with all those "ak exploding/failing/missfire" videos out there, even the best AK out there wont be able to shot faulty ammo that completly lacks of the componenets necesary for the detonation (i have found pistol rounds with no powder in them out from a box) and that doesnt mean the ak plattaform is unreliable, the same can be said about this video.
