  • Great Job!!!!! I really enjoyed this clip...

  • 1:41. Had to steal this lick sorry man. Tasty.

  • @mikeg2083 Great! Thanks and enjoy it... :)

(I'm a big lick thief too... lol)

  • Excellent accompaniment! Know anybody who'd like to buy a guitar identical to the one you played? I have a 1967 Guild Starfire IV, same color as the one you played - I've gotten too old and weak to play anymore. Write to cdrobsonjr@hotmail.com

  • Great... I've never seen a Guild b4 watching your videos.. What can you tell me about this brand?

  • @soulfighterb Hi soulfighterb, Guild is a brand of US made guitars that are every bit as good as the other "big ones" including Gibson, Fender, Martin, Taylor etc... but that for some reason, has flown under the radar since the 50's! (Mainly for lack of endorsers)

The brand is now owned by Fender who is attempting to revive the name and is building some outstanding instruments out of New Hartford CT.

The electric guitar line hasn't come back yet, but who knows, it might be next! Cheers!

  • @PPOIRI000 but do you know if they ship to brazil? i'd like to have one..

  • @PPOIRI000 Jerry Garcia used this guitar with the grateful dead up until mid '67. Also used it with the Warlocks before they were to be called the grateful dead.

  • @mikeg2083 not to be "That guy", but Jerry used a '66 model Starfire III in 1965-1967 before switching to a Gibson LP in mid 67-68. then to a SG,in 69. thats right, im a music nerd lol

  • @BMWproductionCo All this shows is that you know how to use the internet. I can sit here looking at a website (dozin.com I assume) and list off every guitar he ever used too. I was simply trying to be helpful and give him an idea of who used these guitars.

  • Excellent chops man! You are the Vicar of the Church of Guild !

  • @ugmodude Thank you, my son. LOL!

  • Now this is some sweet tone!!

  • I still have my Starfire IV which I bought in 1966!

  • @roymack1 yep, that one isn't mine as explained in the comments, but the one I own IS a 66 and you can hear it on the clip "1966 Guild Starfire IV". :)

  • @roymack1 your a fortunate son to have been able to experience that moment in time (musically and spiritually at least)

  • Wow.What a tone! Good as any 335.

    Very nice tasteful playing too.

    What amp/FX are you using?

  • Hop abonné. Tu as tout : son, technique, feeling, groove et belles guitares.

  • @LeConte66 Merci pour ces compliments, j'apprecie beaucoup! :)

  • Nicely done. Pretty good playing.

  • @starmantough Thank you!

  • weel that's a creamy tone if i heard one. great job man.

  • Not Shawn....CA-35 ring any bells?? Love that recording and the video, I play it usually after a few cold beers and it just seems to hit the spot! Thought I would throw in a HFD while I was at it.

  • @ssprosup Sure it rings a bell!!! :) I'll have a cold one to you! ;)

  • Go scrunchy face go!!! Awesome Bluesy!! happy father's Day you old Motherfarker!!

  • @ssprosup Thanks! ... (sounds like Shawn? LOL!!!)

  • ... No comment :-)) !

  • Wow! Beautiful Starfire! Brings back some of those special memories from the sixties for me. Thanks! Love them Guilds!

  • btw...aka guildman63

  • @snoskier63 Why hello there!! Thanks for the comment, yes "fixit" is the man!.. and talk to you soon on LTG!

  • Fantastic job by "fixit"! It's nice to see guitars like that restored rather than picked for parts or left to just fade away. That "thrill" isn't going away any time soon by the sound of your playing...keep it up!

  • Gorgeous instrument!

  • Man you never let me down with your playing and videos. Do you own all the Guilds in your videos? I know you had one video with a borrowed Guild.

  • @54stratman Thanks stratman, glad you enjoy! I do not own this beauty. It belongs to a friend who also happens to be a luthier, and who just finished a full restoration project, including refretting/resurfacing job on it, and his work is simply exquisite. You could hardly believe it if you saw the "before" pic.

However I just acquired my own 1966 Starfire IV, and it didn't take any time for me to fall in love with those mini humbuckers... It should show up here, sooner or later. ;)

  • @PPOIRI000 Hi theres a guy selling me a LES PAUL SPECIAL, but has lots of scratches on the back, do you think your friend can fix that kind damages, and how much do you think I should pay for the guitar is a black 1999 GIBSON LES PAUL SPECIAL. And I enjoy your videos, your a great player. Sorry for my english is not to good but I try.

  • @deapwavelio Hello, if you give me an e-mail address I'd be happy to send you his, .he would certainly do a great job on your LesPaul. Thanks!

  • Wow! That is one superb instrument! Just beautiful! Great playing! Regards! (-; Babs
