I love the part where Bill Lehr pretty much says, Whatever we didn't collect is still in the environment. No kidding! Thank goodness he didn't have to use the quadratic formula for anything. Are you telling me the media covered Thad Allen because they thought he was smarter than Bill Lehr? (The guy behind Bill Lehr in the light blue tie is about to crack up.) It will all come out in the end and Bill Lehr and Thad Allen can hold hands as they go down together.
@801D012 Yeah, Lehr sure fumbled around a lot. I was surprised that I couldn't find this retraction in the national MSM when I googled "Bill Lehr retracts oil". Only the UK Guardian and blogs seemed to cover this. I think the Thad Allen conference was an hour before and the story was sexier. Whether this was done on purpose or a coincidence, it seems that many people still perceive the Aug. 4 report (which said 75% had disappeared) as being the truth.
@Jamesmandana When you see youtube videos made by people on the Gulf coast, you realize that this is truly a cover-up, not just a media failure. Tony Hayward said that oil rises to the top. If that is true, then why the dispersants? Let the oil come to the surface, collect it out at sea before it gets to the shore, and the problem is contained. No serious effort was made. Disgusting! Also, when did Thad Allen become a drilling expert?
Un-flippin believable!
