Sorry Richard, but that's not what Philippians 2 says. I don't like it when people replace words of the NT with other words like you did and like the NWT does (one of the reasons I don't read the NWT). Philippians 2 is saying that everyone will confess that Yeshua is Adon not Yahweh based on Acts 2:34-36 where Apostle Peter showed that Yeshua was Adon to us not Yahweh to us.
As Mark twain wrote in Tom Sawyer faith is believing what you know ain't so. Tom Sawyer wanted to go against the law and protect a slave who was being hunted when the Bible taught slaves were to obey their master, etc.
Our God is not a ruthless God.... Try to know him .. try to walk in his path..... I am sure that everyone of you who will be reading this comment will have experienced hearing a voice.. which tells you whether you are doing right or what you feel might happen........ He is a nice, merciful and caring God..... Pray and try to walk in his path..........
Ever knee bowing and every tongue confessing is not the act of a loving God, but of a ruthless dictator. We are suppose to believe a ruthless, aragant and selfcentered God loves us. No wonder slavery, child abuse and spouse abuse have been common in history.
@hydrolito actually its not saying it like that im not a very religious person but one day when we die when we are before God getting judged then we will realize what we have done and kneel before him as we feel unworthy and like scum of the earth and confess that God is God, then if we arent saved face eternal damnation. but i assume it might be kind of like a reflex type action.
You might consider yourself scum of the earth if you want to, if people are that bad why did he creat us in the first place. If he is holy why creat sin, and if he created all things then he created all sin, so ulimately he alone is most guilty of all as he would be responsible forever everything if indeed he caused everything, although there is no evidence he did or that the Bible God even exist except as stories. If God is love why creat things only to torture them forever that is not love.
@hydrolito well actually the way it happened is man created sin in his selfish desire to take of that which was not his, God gives us the free will and the choice to act and think on our own, obviously you feel something for God purely cause of the fact that you capitalize the "g" in God, and we were created to worship and praise Him. What has really helped me understand alot of things with God is falling in a deep state of love and being responsible for children. do that and youll understand,
Eze 34:23 And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even My servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.
Eze 34:24 And I the LORD will be their God, and My servant David prince among them; I the LORD have spoken.
Oh I do think there are alot worse out there. Care to mention two world wars? Two nuclear bombs? Terrorism? Wars? How the powerful and rich step on those not so fortunate?
If it is a sin to be sure of one self and have the will to denounce what I don't believe in, then I'll be a sinner for the rest of my life.
Wars are a smokescreen to cover the truth, the rise of a system to be put in place to produce a world power that covers liberty and justice. One mans goal has caused a pavement of blood and bones .Self righteous hearts.
Self righteousness the none existance god''s sin but not necesarily his or it's worst.Actually it's the believers sin to think they are righteous proclaiming this abominable stuff.
For the time is coming, says the Lord, when I will raise up a righteous descendant* from King Davids line. He will be a King who rules with wisdom. He will do what is just and right throughout the land. 6 And this will be his name: The Lord Is Our Righteousness.* In that day Judah will be saved, and Israel will live in safety. King James
Jer 23:5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous shoot, and he shall reign as king and prosper, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.
Jer 23:6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and this is his name whereby he shall be called, The LORD is our righteousness.
YHWH will raise unto David righteous shoot, and In his days Judah shall be saved and Israel shall dwell safely - cont.
Eze 34:23 And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even My servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.
Eze 34:24 And I the LORD will be their God, and My servant David prince among them; I the LORD have spoken.
@edavisdavis Gee they can't even get his name straight nowhere in the passage does it say anything about jesus. What kind of stupid name is "the lord is our righteousness" anyway?
Jakev25, where does the Bible say that Yeshua is a seperate, co-equal, and 'eternally begotten' person literally sitting on a throne next to Yahweh? Maybe its time to stop quoting Tertullian (the real fraud) and start quoting the Bible.
I assure you...I am NO trinitarian....and I am NO oneness believer....Jah stated 200 times in the OT "I AM GOD"....Jesus never once made this statement.
Except the passage contradicteds other passages that say Jesus is the son of Mary. Therefore Jesus is after Mary and therefore not in the beginning. Other contradictions Jesus ask for water yet claimed to having living water to never thirst again, if he had water not to thirst again then why was he thirsty? So absurd.
Given Jesus' duality, no the passage is not a contradiction.
Thirsty. The living water is spiritual and the h2o is physical. Its not that hard to comprehend. It is only absurd when you approach it with an absurd atheistic western paradigm (no offense).
If you can not differentiate the slavery in the Bible from slavery in America, then either you have not done adequate study or you are mentally lacking. America and Europe are poor examples of anything Biblical.
@hydrolito Jesus was a human, which means he took on the human form, so of course he was thirsty and probably hungry also. The water that he is talking about is a spiritual water, I see that your mind is not developed enough to understand that. God Bless!!
@chica0616 Hey idiot he wasn't suppose to be talking to me but supposedly was talking to a sameritan woman who was easily fooled by him just because he heard of her reputation what a great feat isn't it?
I raise you on that one, JakeV25 - John 8:58 (who might that 'I AM' be? hmmm. lol). YAHSHUA (JESUS CHRIST) IS YAHWEH GOD in the flesh; and every knee will bow and confess. PRAISE HIM!
@ycon15 May you all pray Ra forgiven you least he burn your butt, or pray for mercy from Zeus so you don't get hit by lightning or pray to Thor so as no hammer fall on your head, lot's of god none are real so why worry about it?
@ycon15 I am is nothing special in the Hebrew language AS the word "AM" is NOT existent in the Hebrew language. You can say "ANI URIYAHU" where "AM" is implied when translated but literally means "I URIAH" yet we know something is missing in English so we ADD "am" and get "I [am] URIAH." The Hebrew word used in Exodus 3:14 is EHYEH which is in the QAL IMPERFECT which means it GOES INTO THE FUTURE as "I WILL BE" (as in verse 12 of Exodus 3) and not some "I AM." Thus, your argument is void.

No, I won't bow nor confess any god, no matter what. I cannot, and will not.
And if this god forces people to bow before him, then he can go to hell with the other dictators of our world. If not, then I die free of faith.

So that David righteous shoot is not YHWH but YHWH raise righteous shoot unto David (Judah was not saved in Jesus days Neither dwell safely)
Name of that righteous shoot will be "The LORD is our righteousness" so his name will be but he is not YHWH, YHWH not raise him self to David :)

Colossians 2:9: For in him dwelt the fulness of the Godhead (divinity) bodily
John 1:1: In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, the Word was God... vs. 14: And that Word was made flesh
1 Timothy 3:16: God was manifest in the flesh
Speaking of the baptism/indwelling of the Holy Ghost:
John 14:18: I will not leave you comfortless, *I* will come to you
1 Peter 1:10-11: The Holy Spirit which prophesied through the OT prophets is none other than the Spirit of Christ
