Dude, he's a comedian, not a poet. It's not his job to make a point. Its to make people laugh, which he did. Cuz comedy makes sense in context which youtbe tends to ruin. But to all the people waying he doesn't say much...kind of the point.

actually there are a very few conservative slam poets I've met.  however none of them do overtly political poems, which would get them nowhere in the community and so focus on all the other interesting, funny, sad and moving things there are to write about.

It's a little more stand up than slam. I initially thought this was tongue-in-cheek or satirical, but the later into the clip I saw, the more I doubted that. Not really interesting, not really original, not saying much. He could have spent time making an argument for conservative viewpoints, but instead stuck to being homophobic and calling social programs communism. Go back to business school and stay off the stage, bud.
