I'm not much of a fan either but like it or not the Offspring, Rancid AND Green Day are bands that made punk popular again in the 90's. What this has to do with cobain I don't know. Cobain is overrated if you ask me. Nirvana were just in the right place at the right time. People were just at the point when that type of music appealed to them more. Saying that cobain is the one that revolutionised the musical industry is a bit crude since he wasn't alone.
