  • la cancion mas bonita del mundo!!!

  • I actually prefer this rendition to the original..!! More breathless, more moody, more bluesy, everything.

  • how come mccartney aint generous with his money like elvis was?what a fuckin hypocrite as long as you pay for his 50 year old songsits like here you go asshole hippies

  • @flakbac elvis had songwriters write the vast majority of his songs, so they choose to give away their songs not elvis

  • Just wow! A sweet rendition. My favorite song from this performance. Paul has said this was the first of the great Beatles songs. John may have disagreed; regardless, it is a wonderful song that evokes so much yearning. Timeless. I recall this song well from my youth.

  • This is such an incredibly good version of a wonderful song. This takes me back to many different times.

  • Nothing beats the original but I like this version! Very original, pleasant, and soulful. I miss Hamish Stuart's harmonies.

  • para bailar muy apretaditos....ya no necesitas enamorar...solo dejate llevar!!!!!

  • K.....IF U R AS ANGRY AS I M.JUST TYPE "QUIT" AND THAT WELL BE ANGR/

AT PAUL I NEEM CANT TUPE ANY NORLLOEACER;AOVR,,,,,RICKY

  • K.....IF U R AS ANGRY AS I M.JUST TYPE "QUIT" AND THAT WELL BE THE END,AAB

  • paul is so cute

  • alecbaldwin tweets more then me.PLEASE get ALEC BALDWIN a acting job.

  • 3 people have no soul.

  • if paul says he's good enough to sing the song, then he's good enough to sing the song

  • Does anybody have any tips on how to do the quiet harmonies Paul does at around 3:12 Thanks :D

  • What he is doing is singing very softly in falsetto or head voice (think Bee Gees style). Regular practice and vocal training can get you there.

  • I don't think that Paul is the one. I think he and John was two part of one... John was so big like Paul... Genius.

  • I don't agree. I think Paul and John they were two part of one. John was so big like Paul.. They are just genius...

  • paul mccartney es un genio

  • Beauty harmonies.

  • I heard his live concert for Sirius XM in December 2010, and his voice sounded phenomenal. I don't think he'll ever lose that absolutely flawless falsetto. He can't hit the high notes as effortlessly so what he does now is -- not sure how to describe this -- sort of rocks out his voice on the higher notes, making all of his songs much harder rocking.

Compare him to other singers and rock stars at 50, much less 70, and the way his voice has held up is incredible.

  • I appreciate what you said and all I can offer is an apology if I came across as boorish. Take care and thanks.

  • I love the acoustic sounds. When it's stripped down like this, there is no lying about it. It's real, true, and honest.

  • Paul should be singing the lead, not the harmony! Still a beautiful song, even though he wrote it for Jane!

  • @njriley55 Most likely his voice has been shredded from years and years and years of touring and singing live. Probably has trouble hitting those higher notes. And this is from the early 1990's. And he still is doing it. Amazing! There is only a small handful left from those days.

  • @jake1052003 But the harmony is higher than the melody! Listen to it again. I just wonder why he chose to sing harmony instead of the lead.

  • A beautiful song....sounds so dreary here grrrrrrrrrrrr! Shall go and listen to the Night's version. to calm me down! Sorry guys this is awful!

  • @Emerystreet some ppl believe a song should only be sung once, and only from one point of view - not me

  • pauls current touring band beats his old touring band's ass!!

  • i really like the orignal version better, and when only paul sing it than another singing with him...

  • not true about the Beach Boys were a great band with Great harmonies but it was because of the Beatles that caused Brian Wilson to come out with Pet Sounds. Elvis Introduced rock and roll and The Beatles kicked the door in for everyone else

  • i had no idea rutger hauer was a bassist.

  • so good <3, think paul should get a little more of the camera though, mostly focussed on the ugly guy :L

  • Great stuff!

  • This is feeling...... the best version ever

  • What kind fo mic is Paul singing into? AKG 414?

  • Better than the original!

  • @liambirch- defmode is right. The Beatles studied the Beach Boys music. Brian Wilson is well known as a musical genius on par with or even more so than Paul or John. Pet Sounds was revolutionary album and the Beatles had nothing to counter it with until Sgt. Pepper.

  • Comment removed

  • @DefMode66 I appreciate what you say about the Beach Boys but I dont think you can say they are anywhere near on a par with the Beatles. The Beach Boys were pretty much a glorified barbershop band. The Beatles revolutionised music.

  • This is one of the great songs of the 20th century. But Paul's not alone in that songwriiting pantheon: there's Imagine; there's Tonight! Tonignt!; there's Send in the Clowns, and who can forget Scarborough Fair/Canticle, Stairway to Heaven, or The Cinema Show...

  • 2:09 - 2:39 Absolutely beautiful . . . . . . . . just takes my breath away.

  • wow. so many angry comments. the beatles changed the music WORLD. putting down americans by calling them "yanks" and isn't really going to get you anywhere. What would John think? *shakes head*

  • Intersting arrangement and tempo on an old Beatles classic.

  • he isn't paul McCartney.... is William Campbell

  • I luv Paul and his love for music:) He's a good singer no matter how old he gets.. and a great songwriter! Beautiful song

  • That other guy is ruining the performance with his singing.

  • nice

  • Sweet !

  • @ficklefish Wings were junk on the whole unfortunately.

  • @liambirch , How can you say this ? What did you ever contribute to anything mr. critic?

  • That was rubbish and lethargic. Macca lost hIs energy, drive and direction without Lennon.

  • @liambirch Check out a little band called "Wings". You may change your mind.

  • @liambirch , Didn't your momma teach you the mouth is not for spewing shit? I never heard such crap in my life! Obviously you don't know anything about the Beatles and their music! I'm not in the habit of calling people serious assholes, but in your case I'll make an exception you peice of lethargic rubbish!

  • @MrSharkey11 Haha! No need to SEETHE you slack jawed, Yanky piece of shiit. I'm English and have forgotten more about the Beatles than you'll ever know ;)

I'm sure you rate songs such as 'C Moon' and 'Let Em In' as lyrical masterpieces lol!

  • @liambirch ,Oh I see! Because you're english means you know all things english? How can you forget what you never knew in the first place? And please don't try to second guess what songs I consider to be masterpeices! As far as Paul losing his way without john goes, well,it's a utterly ridiculous, illogical statement as time and history has shown you ignorant little twit! You must be(as the English say) balmy! Get lost you ignoramus! Ha! Ha! Ha! Yours Truely, THE YANK!

  • @MrSharkey11 Haha! A Yank calling an Englishman 'ignoramus' Oh the irony! Not that you'd understand irony. :D The term is 'barmy' by the way you simpleton.

With regards to my opinion of your taste in music, no one ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American public ;)

  • @liambirch, The only thing that's ironic is your condesending attitude towards american music in general, and your snobbery in particular! Where would British rock be if it was not for it's american influences? Think about it(I know I'm asking alot from you), there's jazz, rhythm & blues and folk to name some. It's obvious that you're young and inexperienced in these matters, and I suspect in many others! Well at least I know how to spell "barmy" now thanks to you,a person who knows what it means!

  • @MrSharkey11 You're making a bigger fool of yourself with every response! Remeber the British music invasion? The Beatles, The Stones, The Kinks and the Who? The Yanks didnt know what real music was until that time. It was all thigh slapping yee-haa! shit like the majority of it still is today. Now stop being so incredulous and accept your inferior, red-neck position in life.

  • @liambirch , The people who read the comments between you and myself will be the judge of who the real fool is my dull friend!

  • @liambirch Bob Dylan you limey, priss priss, fuck.

  • @liambirch Frank Zappa........Any Funk...............the list can go on and on. You're just another typical UK faggot.

  • @spreadneck7 'Spreadneck' Shouldn't that be 'Redneck?' Remember your origins Yank. You're just a country fudged together with the left overs of British society who couldnt cut it in the UK.

It was wonderful to find America, put perhaps it would have been more wonderful to miss it. No one can be as calculatedly rude as the British, which amazes Americans, who do not understand studied insult and can only offer abuse as a substitute.

  • @MrSharkey11 You sure carry around plenty of hate for a Dead fan. Brent had a little penis and so do you.

  • @spreadneck7 , Go bait someone else! I have no intention of engaging myself in a ridiculous debate with you!

  • @MrSharkey11 Sorry dude. I'm a big Dead fan but i think Brent sucks, just Jerry's dope buddy. Although thing do get a little hot between the two on stage. Without Elvis there would be no Beatles and if without the beach boys Pet Sounds there would be no Sgt. Pepper, Without the Blue, which originated in America, there would be no Stones.

  • @spreadneck7 Haaahaaa!! This guy is seriously comparing The Beach Boys to The Beatles!!!!! haha!!!!! They were laughed off stage when they first came to the UK. Brian Wilson forever strived to be like Lennon and McCartney and he achieved it with what? one album in Pet Sounds? Tell me, how many of Elvis songs were actually written by him?

  • @liambirch The Beach Boys were extremely popular in the UK! When they pulled out of the Monterey Pop Festival in June '67 they toured the UK and released Live In London. The Beach Boys scored 17 Top 40 albums in the UK which is 2 more than in the USA. Brian Wilson was never over shadowed by Lennon/McCartney. Brian Wilson was a big influence to McCartney and likewise. 9 of the Beach Boys First 11 albums were top 10. You can match any great Beatles song with a Beach Boys.

  • superb thanks for sharing

  • I'm an acoustic guitar player. I got a fantastic Taylor 410ce! In this beautiful song Paul and his guitarist use both Martin guitars. On my opinion the solo is fantastic.

Beautiful song, beautiful guitars, voices and.............enjoy it with all your souls.

Take care. See you soon. Music is my life! Bye!

  • just beautifull

  • the guys people shouldnt sing. people come to see mccartney

  • This is hauntingly beautiful!

  • i don't like that version. The original is better.

  • Oh Lord, I LOVE U PAUUUUUULLLLLLL!

  • Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah!!!

  • "feeling lonely since you left me - heart still sings this in your absence - miss you sher / won't give up just won't give up - hopes are no dead yet.......many thanks for posting this video ...just love it

  • not the same pace as the original, Temple I think they call it.....way to slow....to me....but maybe its just me...

  • Nothing happens! they just look at each other! Listen without looking.

  • What is happened beetween 2.50 and 2.54 ? somedy has an idea?

hamish seems to have some problem with his voice and Paul is looking at him.

  • They weren't together at that point. He came in with "Dark is the sky" before Paul did. Probably something they had rehearsed and changed about.

  • Right!

I like the way hamish is singing, very nice voice.

  • Absolutely beautiful<3

  • i prefer the 64 hard days night rumba feel, cheerz

  • These are quality performers backing up an ultimate songwriter .

This version has always been my favourite from the unplugged set he did.

It is better for the slower pace and it evokes a superb vibe .

The passion is there to hear.

  • Usually, when someone changes up a Beatles song, even if it's Paul, I don't warm up to it. But this version is just simply amazing. Great job, Paul, AS ALWAYS.

  • who is the ugly dude and why he is constantly being shown instead of Paul?

  • @motenko86

he´s the son of the producer LOL

  • Hamish Stuart on bass acoustic....he was with the Average White Band.

  • I LOVE YOU PAUL!♥

  • einfach nur genial. perfect!!!

  • this is great, he didnt need the backing singers though

  • @catastrophy2k8 haha backing singers? paul was the backing singer throughout the whole song

it adds a whole new feel to the song

  • I love playing the solo on the guitar. it's fun! :) This is such a pretty song! ♥ Beautiful!

  • This song is full of emotions, very strong in getting to the soul. I love unplugged performances (Cobain, Clapton).

  • In my opinion, Paul ,McCartney is the best compositor I've ever seen. I say it in all meanings... from good person, to genius. Just great.

  • @RosarioNahu right next to john lennon tho most of the beatles songs were made by john lennon

  • @pinkrose363 you he didnt. maybe most of the earlier hits.

  • @RosarioNahu

I agree with you so much!

Paul is the BEST composer ever!!!

  • @RosarioNahu I agree, John Lennon and George Harrison were also great but Paul McCartney was the one.

  • @CanKuman8 They were all great, I love them all, it's no that I'm "picking one" it's just the fact that Paul is the one that always did MUSIC, the others were a long while in their things, Paul never stopped singing and composing, and not just that, he composed excellent songs.

  • @RosarioNahu Paul is a brilliant word smith and his harmonies are second to none but John is what made the Beatles a musical revolution.

  • @flight1100 I never talked about Beatles, you guys keep saying that. I said Paul as himself, his whole life.

  • @flight1100 yeah. Sorry I replied to the wrong comment. ;)

  • PERFECT. PEERLESS.

    I have no others words.

    I simply love this man

  • this is my favourite song

  • This is nice, but the Beatles version is better :-)

  • I KNIOW...--love you too Paul--- kisses and hugs from Debbi/ kim xxxoooxxx

  • There's never going to be another Paul McCartney...simply the best

  • That was such a good version. Oh, Paul.

  • How do you think it would feel to be Paul's muse? I imagine it was extraordinary to be Linda McCartney.

  • actually this song was written when he was in a relationship with Jane Asher he was with her for i believe 5 years

  • We used this version as our 'first dance' at our wedding this year.

  • I agree, best version after the original.

  • This is my absolute favorite version of this song

  • beautiful. as good as it gets. love you paul.

  • Oh my God, I can feel my heart melting.

  • Great workmanship of great artists are timeless masterpieces.

  • Simplemente extraordinario!!!

    Eres un genio Paul!!

  • Paul Mccartney is the modern version of Beethoven, Motzart, or the best writer musician that ever lived!!!

  • ..if this isn't the most romantic sounding version..I don't know what is...Paulie's got that touch...

  • His love inspiration was so near to him at that moment they played.

  • espetacular som de paul mccartney

  • es la primera vez que escucho a paul cantar en vivo desde que la grabaron en 1964, genial

  • Absolutely Beautiful.

    Sir Paul still got it.

  • uma das musicas mmmmmais bonitas de todos os tempos

  • the best

  • jazzy quite awsome

  • Reply to 'packagewarren'

It's LINDA in the 'background' . She was never an 'EX' ! She was his wife and mother of his children and the woman he LOVED and who LOVED him ! (Linda sadly died from breast cancer years ago)

  • @123ThisIsMe and unfortunately, the next person he married was a money hungry bitch. Being a former beatles has its misfortunes.

  • ehhh, i rather listen to a hard day's night version better.

  • se escuchan tres voses quien es el otro

  • ooh.... un video hermoso y la tonada esta genial... !!!! ooh ! ciielos

  • I saw Ringo a couple of years ago when Hamish was in the previous All Starr Band and as they do with all the other members playing songs from their repertoire, no "Pick Up The Pieces" with Hamish.

  • HAHA you bein serious?

  • yea man

  • yeah paul and ringo, john and george are not

  • A gentle and lovely song

( sounds better here than when the Beatles did it -but that may only be my opinion)

  • It's not only your opinion, it's the truth.

  • In July, Hamish was on tour with Ringo Starr and his ALLSTARR BAND. I saw them in Nashville Tn. at the Wild Horse Saloon No mention of him being with Paul and Wings, only that he had been a member of the "Avreage White Band". Hope this helps!

  • robbie plays with John Mayer now. Check out their version of free fallin and also daughters

  • I forgot how simply gorgeous this live version of the song was.

  • Love this song!!

  • What DVD is this?

  • paul mccartney: unplugged

  • I have been listening to jose alberto's latin version and it's brilliant, and here we go again, McCartney and band giving And I Love Her a beautiful make-over. One of his best songs!

  • I have to agree with the last comment - they are pure gems!

  • my two paul´s favorite songs:

    - here there and everywhere

    - and i love her

  • it's the best version.

it's so beautyful to hear paul and hamish.

  • I just saw Hamish Stuart with Ringo in Nashville in July at the Wild Horse Saloon. He is touring with the "All Starr Band"- great show!
