Yes it is fine to game with battery in. I find it kinda sluggish with only using the battery for gaming. I love the p 7811 fx but if I want to game I will use my PS3 or 360. Dont get me wrong Crisis on this is amazing but it just cant compare to ps3/360 graphics.

really???... and what about the P7805u?... it wuz on sale for 1049 the other day, and the P7811 was for 1249?... whats the difference if they both are the P series and why the F*** is the P7805 cheaper if it has better stuff in it... like a 9800GT (1GB) graphics and intel Centrino2...compared to a 9600GT(512MB) and intel Celeron...this shyt dont make sense!

No way man, Gears of War 2 on 360 looks better than Crisis on high. Resident Evil 5 looks better on Ps3/360 than Crisis. I'm telling you I have all 3 and it appears that PS3 can pump out the best graphics IMOP ive seen.

this laptop rocks.. First off for the specs the thing is damn near free. Anything that comes close to performace will cost you well over 2k and XPS with similar benchmarks will go as high as 3k.  Sure they have a lighting system and a coolness factor going for them but I just want raw power and this laptop delivers cheaply.

No, but I will say that the web camera is not as good as I would have hoped for. I dont know if I have the settings off or something but its kinda choppy. Any suggestions? Its very fast. No load times except for bootup. Its like 35 seconds or so. Gaming is actually fantastic.

Well I'm mostly going to be playing Company of Heroes, Counter Strike Source, and possibly Starcraft 2 when it comes out. I don't care too much about the web cam. I'm trying to get this laptop because its a pain in the ass trying to share it. This desktop is a Gateway as well. I made minor modifications to it like adding a 5.1 sound card and a 8600 GT.

Vista is a lot better than people say. I havent had any problems except for installing a driver for my zune. I had to go to microsoft website for it. I know how to install the driver and it basically will do it for you. I can see how someone that doesnt know much about Windows would get confused. I am very pleased with the upgrade from XP to Vista. It has made things a lot easier to customize and "user friendly". I dont know how it runs on other computers though that are not as fast.
