IMO, Andrew is a more fitting Spider-Man, because he looks like an authentic awkward teenage misfit--the Peter Parker we first knew from the comics. Don't get me wrong, Tobey was awesome too, because he fit the role that was created in the original trilogy's script; but as a young Spidey, Andrew is a perfect fit :)

Though, Raimi wanted to put the Lizard in, but Sony wanted a more realistic villain with no special effects on his face or something like that. But with the new Reboot coming, they are taking the Lizard in the movie. Irony?
