Yes. I think real uggs are better. The sheep fur is much thicker than "fake uggs" they also are thicker at the bottom so it won't scrunch up. I've had my uggs for like 3 years and they are still good. I would recommend them for like New York or Colorado. For the colder places it's like a heater in your shoes!

Ha, those "uggs" were decent looking compared to the ones we've got in the UK - the ones we have are like cardboard with hardly any fur, they don't keep your feet warm at all and they're usually £5 - £10.
I had a pair of fake uggs once and the actual boot ripped from the sole - I only had them for about a week. Totally not worth your time getting them.
Although afterwards I got 2 pairs of real uggs, I wear them most days, they are still in tip top condition and I've had them for 5 months.

Wears down quickly, tears up easily, doesn't provide traction, and is made for light use only. If I'm going to spend that much money on a pair of boots then I expect them to be made for everyday use. @caraface For your infomation, they don't wear down, they have reinforced heels so unlike the fake ones, you don't walk over the sides. Plus, they are the comfiest shoes you will ever have! I have 4 pairs and I love them so much.
I wasn't referring to the sides wearing down due to pronation. EVA foam wears down all over the entire sole. I've seen very flat *real* Uggs a hundred times and it's not a good thing. EVA is usually used in products that are meant to be replaced frequently, like shoe inserts and cheap flip flops.
If you have 4 pairs of these and wear them in rotation, then obviously you're not wearing each pair as frequently as someone who has 1 or 2 pairs.

guys, you've all been conned big time! ugg is just the term for sheepskin boots (like saying 'cowboy boots' or 'jeans'). A US company called Deckers Outdoor Corporation took the name, started making them in china (where labor's dirt cheap) and now tell everyone they are the only genuine ones and the australian product is fake - small family businesses in oz are being driven out of business by this. Please wise up, in this label-conscious world it's easy for big companies to mislead you

Wow. Real Uggs are sooo much better. Fake ones fall apart much faster and easier, save up all the money you spend on fake ones so you can afford the REAL ones.
