I was going through my Def Leppard/Iron Maiden heavy metal phase in school when this song came out, and it was probably one of the first "New Wave" songs to ever catch my attention.  It's been one of my favorite songs of all time since it came out, and it still haunts me. I always thought it should be used in some retro-80's vampire film during some evil seduction scene.

Most of it today sucks, there's a few independent artists out there that are relatively decent but that top 40's crap isn't talent and isn't even remotely from the soul. It's 100% for the money and it's so easy to tell. And God forbid how much worse it'll get, and all I can do is pray my children are exposed to this great music.
