  • This is becoming a regular occurence Allan, though I don't know the reason for it, Nice catch...Keith

  • @MonochromeLoco - These trains cope with the extra christmas workload and supplement the scheduled services. Think the 67s are used in case of possible icing problems on overhead electric wires. Thanks for the comment Keith.

  • Nice capture Allan, an unusual combination. Jeff.

  • @bobnweaver - Thanks Jeff.....the Christmas Card express that runs every December.

  • Great video Allan, I am yet to see this train! Nice shots of the 87s and 37s are in the background too :)

  • @CoachAlex1996 - Thanks very much Alex for your comment.

I think these particular postal trains deal with the extra Christmas post, and are 67 hauled to overcome any potetial OHL icing problems. The 37s and 87s were a real bonus.

  • Love your video I've been wanting to see a class 67 for ages but only saw a DBS 67 in York last weekend for the first time.

Will have to see this Arriva blue liveried sometime.

  • @JamesandPeter - Many thanks for your comments. Glad you managed to see a 67 and hope it isn't long for your first sighting in Arriva Blue livery.

  • Brilliant catch. Not only that but the 37's and I think an 86 or 87 aswell :)

  • @PlaneTrainAmbulance - Thanks for your comment.....there was quite a variety of traction at Carlilse yesterday. An enjoyable day out.

  • Lovely these trains are, even better with a 67 thrown in front! :D Great video Allan!

  • @m0dernrailways - Cheers Jason.....Think they used 67s last year as well because of potential icing problems

  • Nice catch! Saw this go past on the WCML web cam and hoped someone had got a decent shot. Good job!
