This isnt actually a bucky ball. A bucky ball is made out of carbon atoms and carbon atoms bind with four other atoms. On this video those "carbon atoms" bind with 3 other atoms and that aint correct..

@0FFS It is correct. That's because carbon atoms form both single and *double* bonds. In the buckyball, the double bonds are found in the hexagons while the single bonds are only in the pentagons. If you look at any one of the 60 "atoms," you will see that two of the single bonds create two sides of a pentagon and the third, which is the double bond, creates one side of a hexagon. Since 2 single bonds + 2 from the double bond = 4, the 4 bonds of the carbon atom are accounted for.

how to - equal angle/lateral triangle: take a square piece of paper and fold the corners together. take one of the resulting rectangles and fold in half again, this should get u 1x 1/2 sized and 2x 1/4 sized rectangles. fold outermost 1/4 size rectangle in half and leave bottom folded in to make a rectangle 7/8 size of the square. fold piece of paper in half as to divide the 1/2 sized rectangle into 2 squares. now fold in the corners of the 1/8 rectangle to the top of the middle dividing fold.

use a big triangle to try... i used one of 5cm-5cm-5cm and it was to small (5cm = +- 2 inch).
