@m1ndNOVA i cant say youre 100% right - with modern technologies i can use any guitar for metal. a jagmaster is a very nice guitar :) but the pu's arent metal pus - in my earlier days i even didnt mind the humbuckkers but since i have dimarzio diactivators i just cant live without them - and this just should mean: jagmaster is not metal. but you the fuck can make it metal! in my eyes its great to use different types/styles of humbuckers/singlecoils in order to have s.o. own and other styles.

@joshtheblueguy Im pretty sure that he would use a Coil tap to split the humbuckers to single coils etc, or else he may have a coil splitter switch on his guitar.

I know that there is a MASSIVE difference in sound when i use my BC Rich, it has a coil tap for the bridge pickup, sounds awesome when its split to single coil and sounds fat and heavy when it is a humbucker :)

Nice to hear John5 getting more of his style down. You can hear a progression from his first album in which he sounded like many of his influences very obviously. It was still great he pulled it off and amazing, but I couldnt help but think "cool, but I heard that done by... he totally is taking that idea" lots of the time buckethead...

Now I hear that he is more John5 himself, still lots of buckethead, some vai/satch etc. still exist. but good stuff!, hope the rest is better :)

k, I consider this guy a pretty good player and at first his playing was very refreshing, but it kind of feels like he's got no more tricks left, he repeats the same things over and over from album to album (tremolo picked, three note per string patterns...preceeded by a pentatonic melody and followed by that same theme afterwards and then some chicken pickin' and repeat). I know I'm going to get thumbs down for this, but hey just speaking my mind, maybe he'll read this and get inspired.

@acidbug yeah I feel like the same! I learned most of his songs and all the shapes just reappear! Sounds of impalement, washing away of wrong, cleansing the soul& judas cradle etc.. thats all E-Major and pretty easy stuff once you've learned the pentatonic shreds and the country moves...okay its cool and he's a master of THIS art for sure...but he really should get into something new...THUMBS UP!
