Still going strong. I hope the spirit will fill many hearts this year at the December wreath placing! I will be partivipating AND donating to friends and fellow Veteran's. God bless you for this project of love and honor!
There is only 1 WW I U.S. Veteran left alive today his name is Frank Buckles and he is 108 but when he dies I'll be laying a wreath at his grave to honor and remember what he did for our great nation.
My Dad, a career Army officer who served for 3 years in New Guinea during WW II, was laid at rest at Arlington 10 years ago. The first year there, Wreaths Across America laid wreaths on graves in his Section. How touching and beautiful. That was the first I knew of this program and have participated each year since then so other families can know how much their loved ones are appreciated and cared about. God bless all of you who participate in this program of love.
I have never been to Arlington for the wreath laying, but have participated in our local VA Cemetery- God bless you for this program and for keeping one of our American traditions alive. God knows, they're fading fast
I'll be back again next year 2012
