Boston has done much more than get a provened nasty Matsuzaka. We have new arms in the bullpen, and if they pan out like they are supposed to, it should work out great. Paplebon, a nasty closer, has moved up to starter, and if Beckett can stay healthy he'll be great. If the pitching staff stays healthy this year, we will have arguably the best pitching in the league. The Red Sox had a negative run differential last year and the Yankees had one of the best in baseball, and all the Yankees did was improve their rotation and bullpen while keeping the same offense. I'd take Clemens back in a heartbeat. Especially with the questions in the rotation. Wang, Mussina Pettitte is a good start, but even those three have some questions (Pettitte his elbow, Mussina age and Wang is fresh off a season in which he threw more innings than he ever had), after that it's Randy Johnson, Carl Pavano or Kei Igawa, all huge questions. I don't what Clemens wants, $15 mil for a half a season, days off to see his family, whatever, just give it to him and get him back here.
